Are your kids and or grand kids always plugged in? By plugged in I mean modern technology.

I had my granddaughters today (will be having them 3 days a week this summer AND look forward to it). But I said to them today, whats with being plugged in?

Examples; !4 yr old- on the cell texting (just about all day-except when eating), 12 yr old- online talking to school friends via video chat. 8 yr old (shes a bit better about it will play with her dolls and some games but also on Wii alot)..lol.

When DH got home from work, I said well, lets go to the park and check out the pond/ducks, swings etc and take a walk. OK they said that sounds FUN. So we go to the park. 8 yr old checks out the ducks and goes on the playground stuff and her and I walk around the park. 14 yr old and 12 yr old plop down on a bench w DH and they BOTH look up stuff via the one cellphone.

I dont want to be an old nag, but a cool grandmother, so I gave up and let them do what they wanted..(even though it was like 90 degrees and we could have stayed home in the AC.lol.).

THANKFULLY they are all very thin and in good health or Id worry. And I know every other day they will be going to the pool to swim (im sure with technology waiting for them when they get OUT.
