How Is the T P Brigade Doing This Weekend?

Several weeks ago on another thread it was revealed that many of us are toilet paper hoarders. So has anyone restocked for the holiday weekend? The upcoming school year? Preparing for colder weather? Or like me just to have it just in case?

Girl, I'm prepping for a colonoscopy on Labor Day. I bought a 6 pack last weekend and should have gone for the mambo 24 pack that was on sale, rofl.

@JaneMarple oh me! It finally dawned on me that Costco was no longer sending their monthly coupons to me as my life has changed so I don't shop with them nearly as much as I once did . . . after taking care of my mom, toilet paper became almost an obsession with me and I realized I was down to (you better sit down for this) 13 rolls . . . gasp, I know . . . I quickly went to Costco's website and realized they are featuring Cottonelle so I will be going there after the Labor Day weekend . . . tee hee!

In retrospect, if there is a program for toilet paper hoarders I better sign up . . .

All jokes aside, I really do like to have spare TP, paper towel and kleenex on hand because it never fails - when I need it, it's not on sale.

You should see how I stockpile when winter's coming in Michigan.

Wow, that reminds me, I need some pigeon food. Better make note of that.

I also stockpile my bird food.

I'm powerless to Target's "buy two 12 packs and get a $5 gift card" sale.

And I buy the Charmin Mega Plus. Each roll is the size of a basketball. Times 12 rolls, times 2 packs. I have three 12 packs in our closet right now and 4 loose rolls in each bathroom, in the cabinet.

There are two of us living here.

I pick up a 6, 8 or 12 pack once or twice a month. Sometimes split a yuuuuge bundle from Costco with my son. My mom always kept her pantry stocked with canned, jarred boxed and paper goods, and I do the same

Just thought of another thing I need to add to my list. There's a Kmart not far from my Pet Supplies Plus that sells the Hagen pigeon food.

Of all the things I hoard, top of the list is Cheer Free (liquid). Only Kmart carries it locally. I buy those big gallon (or larger) bottles of it.

This thread is really helping me out with my shopping list.

Paper towel - I prefer Bounty but have tried Meijer (store brand) better quality

Facial tissue - I will buy Kleenex if on sale. The Meijer fancier tissues works okay.

Toilet Paper - I was raised a Northern girl. They changed that darn toilet paper over the years and I became a Cottonelle girl.

I don't start drinking the go-lightly (yea right) until Monday so I still have time to swing by the store tomorrow to get some more TP.

I'm just grateful I am an early morning appointment. I can go without food for a couple of days.

Not having my coffee in the morning gets tricky.

Ok @Bird mama the Labor Day weekend should not include a colonoscopy but good thoughts and best wishes for your test results. I know it goes without saying that the prep is worse than the test itself so hopefully this will be in your rearview mirror very soon with great results!

Ok..... moving on from toilet paper.

I also have an "ample" supply of batteries. Ok....ok.... more than ample. AA, AAA, C, D, 9 Volt and the little button batteries.

We went to Costco and Sam's the other day and the large packs of AA, C, D and 9 volt batteries made their way home with us to join their friends that are already packed away in a LARGE PLASTIC CONTAINER, organized by type- LOL. Because, if they're at Costco and Sam's, they have to be a good deal, right?

My husband always kids with me about my battery supply, especially as we head toward winter. I'm always preparing for a mammoth ice or snow storm. Which makes sense, except we live in the SOUTH.

We certainly have had our share of nasty winter events, but it's not the norm.

I could light the runways at Atlanta's airport using my flameless candles, regular candles, lantern and flashlight stash.

I'm always preparing for the Apocolypse.
