A couple of years ago we took in a stray cat that I absolutely love with all my heart....her name is Katy. Since we got Katy we haven't had the opportunity to take a vacation but now my DH would like to take one this summer. In all honesty, I would rather not go than to have to kennel my kitty - I don't think she'll understand. She is just the best cat in the world but I don't think I could leave her at home with just someone coming in to check on her....I think she'd get bored and might tear up things (she's not declawed and it's not a problem normally but I think under these circumstances it might be) She also is used to having company throughout the day and I just want her to be as "unstressed" as possible. What do you all do with your cats when you travel? She's just about the perfect cat and I feel like I'm letting her down
