Amazon sharing?

After I made a few purchases on Amazon it wanted me to be part of "Amazon Sharing" ( I don't recall if that is exactly what it's called!) As my purchases were ebooks I thought it may be a program to share ebooks with others. I looked into it but it seems like a sweepstakes kind of thing? Anyone know about it?

Are you referring to sharing your Membership with a friend or relative. You can do this with one other person. If this isn't it, I don't think I know what you're referring to.

Could it be amazon smiles? I signed up for amazon smiles and 1% (I think it's 1%) of the price of everything I buy goes to support a charity of my choice.

Without an actual name, I don't know what you're talking about. I don't know of any sweepstakes.

Amazing Prime Sharing allows you to share a membership with a person in the same household. Do you have a Prime membership?

It is 1%. And some charities have Amazon Wish Lists, where you can buy and send them supplies they need. Going through the Smile link to buy from those wish lists means I'm supporting two charities with one order. Yay!

@Imadickens I agree with @Buck-i-Nana I think it may be their Amazon Smiles program. I have signed up to give my proceeds to Service Dog Project so whatever I buy, .5% goes to them (I just looked it up and to be honest I was surprised to see this as I thought it was 1%). Either way, it's a nice way to donate to your favorite charity as I know SDP has mentioned the size of the checks they receive for a given month and those pennies do add up.

Lend or Borrow Kindle Books

You can lend a Kindle book to another reader for up to 14 days. The borrower does not need to own a Fire tablet or Kindle e-reader and can read the book after downloading a free Kindle reading app.

You can loan eligible Kindle books from the product detail page of a book you purchased on Amazon.

During the loan period, you will not be able to read the book that you loaned.

@sunshine45 I think you are correct, I didn't catch the eBook purchase in the original post. Thanks for the update as this is a great program!

@sunshine45 I think you are correct, I didn't catch the eBook purchase in the original post. Thanks for the update as this is a great program!

It sounds like a great program, @momtochloe, but it really isn't. It only applies to a small percentage of books. I just checked 10 of my books at random and only three of them had the Loan option.

I was directed to click for info. When I did I was to do three things. 1. Pick the price I wanted . Then, do something I think had 50/50 odds, then, if I win, they ship my prize directly to my house! I clicked off it as it wasn't what I thought it was so I wasn't interested. Then, I got curious!

Oh goodness @Imadickens I used to be a long time Prime user but my life has changed so I dropped the membership earlier this year. To be honest, since I don't have Prime, I don't visit their site very often unless it's to do some kind of research. It never dawned on me that maybe they were starting to offer new and improved offers to regular users . . . I wonder if they will resend this offer to you in the near future?
