Today ask God for anything that is in line with His will for you. Plead with
Him
and Tell Him your needs and keep praying.

Scripture for the day:

"Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are
those who have not seen and yet have come to believe." ~John 20:29

Meditation for the day:

God can help make us truly grateful and humble. Since we cannot see God, we
can believe in God without seeing. What we can see clearly is the change in
a human being when that person sincerely asks God for the strength to
change. We can cling to faith in God and in God's power to change our ways.
Our faith in God can be rewarded by a useful and serviceable life. God can
show us the way we should live, when in real gratitude and true humility we
turn to God.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may believe that God can change me. I pray that I may be
always willing to be changed for the better.

Greetings my friends! Today was a hot one - but I went along and we both
worked all day on Lori's landscaping, taking out the old mulch, and getting
things ready for the granite chips to put on tomorrow morning. Sammy went
along and he's such a good boy, just lays on the lawn wherever we are,
doesn't even have to be tied. My blessings today - I called Darla during a
break and we talked close to an hour - cell phones, Sprint, free! She says
we should pray for her so she can sleep nights. She still has such trouble
getting to sleep. I also called Sister LaDonna, she is confined to her
room now because she has a bad cold, and so she needs to have lots of rest.
Had a nice visit with her, but she has a cough, too. Another blessing is
really quite a surprise - Lori is at her Seminar but she stays at her
cousin, Donna's, my niece and Godchild, and apparently they found an old
piano accordion at Joe's house, and it could be Fr. Fritz's my uncle who
played it well, or it was Erma's, the one I learned how to play on. They
said it's a smaller one, so maybe that is the one I taught myself how to
play by using a mirror, I could play piano by ear so learned what I knew on
the piano to play on the accordion. Lori will be bringing it home and I'll
borrow it for awhile and enjoy it. It should be fun, and I'll bring it back
to the family reunion July 28th. We used to have barn dances at the farm
with Father Fritz playing the accordion. I was a kid, but I have pictures
and what memories. That was on family gatherings on the farm, with cousins
too, this was after Mom's parents have passed on. So many blessings!!
What are yours?

The Wisdom Prayer

O Great Spirit,
Whose voice I hear in the winds;
And who's breath gives life to all the world,
hear me! I am small and weak, I need your
strength and wisdom.
Let Me Walk In Beauty, and make my eyes
ever behold the red and purple sunsets.
Make My Hands respect the things you have
made and my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make Me Wise so that I may understand the
things you have taught my people.
Let Me Learn the lessons you have hidden
in every leaf and rock.
I Seek Strength, not to be greater than my
brother, but to fight my greatest
enemy--myself.
Make Me Always Ready to come to you with
clean hands and straight eyes.
So When Life Fades, as the fading sunset,
my spirit may come to you
without shame.

A Native American Prayer

Good Advises to Live By..

If you want your dreams to come true, don't oversleep.

The smallest good deed is better than the grandest intention.

Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important.

The best vitamin for making friends....B1.

The 10 commandments are not multiple choice.

The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.

Minds are like parachutes...they function only when open.

Ideas won't work unless YOU do.

One thing you can't recycle is wasted time.

One who lacks the courage to start has already finished.

The heaviest thing to carry is a grudge.

Don't learn safety rules by accident.

We lie the loudest when we lie to ourselves.

Jumping to conclusions can be bad exercise.

A turtle makes progress when it sticks it's head out.

One thing you can give and still keep...is your word.

A friend walks in when everyone else walks out.

AND FINALLY...

The pursuit of happiness is the chase of a lifetime!!!

Author: Unknown

June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus:

Hail, Sacred Heart of Jesus, living and strengthening source of eternal
life, infinite treasury of the Divinity, and burning furnace of divine love!
You are my refuge and my sanctuary.

My loving Savior, consume my heart in that burning love with which your own
Heart is inflamed. Pour out upon me those graces which flow from Your love.
Let my heart be so united with Yours that our wills may be one, and my will
may in all things be conformed with Your Will. May Your Will be the guide
and rule of my desires and of my actions. Amen.

Mother Teresa said...
Anyone is capable of going to Heaven. Heaven is our home. Dying is not the
end, it is just the beginning. Death is a continuation of life. This is the
meaning of eternal life; it is where our soul goes to God, to be in the
presence of God, to see God, to speak to God, to continue loving Him with
greater love. We only surrender our body in death - our heart and our soul
live forever.

Author Unknown

Some years ago on a hot summer day in south Florida a little boy
decided to go for a swim in the old swimming hole behind his house.

In a hurry to dive into the cool water, he ran out the back door,
leaving behind shoes, socks, and shirt as he went. He flew into the
water, not realizing that as he swam toward the middle of the lake, an
alligator was swimming toward the shore.

His mother, in the house was looking out the window, saw the two as
they got closer and closer together. In utter fear, she ran toward the
water, yelling to her son as loudly as she could. Hearing her voice,
the little boy became
alarmed and made a U-turn to swim to his mother.

It was too late. Just as he reached her, the alligator reached him.
From the dock, the mother grabbed her little boy by the arms just as
the alligator snatched his legs. That began an incredible tug-of-war
between the two.

The alligator was much stronger than the mother, but the mother was
much too passionate to let go.

A farmer happened to drive by, heard her screams, raced from his
truck, took aim and shot the alligator.

Remarkably, after weeks and weeks in the hospital, the little boy
survived.

His legs were extremely scarred by the vicious attack of the animal.
And, on his arms, were deep scratches where his mother's fingernails
dug into his flesh in her effort to hang on to the son she loved.

The newspaper reporter who interviewed the boy after the trauma, asked
if he would show him his scars. The boy lifted his pant legs. And
then, with obvious pride, he said to the reporter, "But look at my
arms. I have great scars on my arms, too. I have them because my mom
wouldn't let go."

You and I can identify with that little boy. We have scars, too. No,
not from an alligator, or anything quite so dramatic. But, the scars
of a painful past. Some of those scars are unsightly and have caused
us deep regret.

But, some wounds, my friend, are because God has refused to let go.

In the midst of your struggle, He's been there holding on to you. The
Scripture teaches that God loves you. If you have Christ in your life,
you have become a child of God. He wants to protect you and provide
for you in every way.

But sometimes we foolishly wade into dangerous situations. The
swimming hole of life is filled with peril - and we forget that the
enemy is waiting to attack. That's when the tug-o-war begins, and if
you have the scars of His love on your arms be very, very grateful.

He did not - and will not - let you go. Time is a very precious gift
of God; so precious that it's only given to us moment by moment.

P.U.S.H.
Author Unknown

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled
with light and the Savior appeared. The Lord told the man he had work
for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The
Lord explained
that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. This
the man did, day after day.

For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down, his shoulders set
squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock,
pushing with all his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin
sore, and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in
vain. Seeing that the man was showing signs of discouragement, the
adversary decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the
man's weary mind: "You have been pushing against that rock for a long
time, and it hasn't budged. Why kill yourself over this? You are
never going to move it." Thus giving the man the impression that the
task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts
discouraged and disheartened the man. "Why kill myself over this?" he
thought. "I'll just put in my time, giving just the minimum effort and
that will be good enough." And that is what he planned to do until
one day he
decided to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts
to the Lord.

"Lord" he said, "I have labored long and hard in your service, putting
all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this
time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is
wrong? Why am
I failing?"

The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to
serve me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push
against the rock with all, your strength, which you have done. Never
once did I mention to
you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push, and now
you come to me, with your strength spent, thinking that you have
failed. But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are
strong and muscled, your
back sinewy and brown, your hands are callused from constant
pressure, and your legs have become massive and hard. Through
opposition you have grown much and your abilities now surpass that
which you used to have. Yet you haven't moved the rock. But your
calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and
trust in My wisdom. This you have done. I, my friend, will now move
the rock."

At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own
intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is
just simple obedience and faith in Him.... By all means, exercise the
faith that moves
mountains, but know that it is still God who moves the mountains.

P.U.S.H!

When everything seems to go wrong,...just P.U.S.H.!

When the job gets you down,...just P.U.S.H.!

When people don't react the way you think they should,...just
P.U.S.H.!

When your money looks funny and the bills are due,...just P.U.S.H.!

When you want to tell them off for whatever the reason,...just
P.U.S.H.!

When people just don't understand you,...just P.U.S.H.!

P.U.S.H -- Pray Until Something Happens!!!!!

The King's Highway

Once upon a time, a king had a great highway built for the people who lived
in his kingdom. After it was completed, but before it was opened to the
public, the king decided to have a contest. He invited as many of his
subjects as desired to participate. The challenge was to see who could
travel the highway the best, and the winner was to recieve a box of gold.

On the day of the contest, all the people came. Some of them had fine
chariots, some had fine clothing and fancy food to make the trip a luxurious
journey. Some wore their sturdiest shoes and ran along the highway on their
feet to show their skill. All day they traveled the highway, and each one,
when he arrived at the end, complained to the king about a large pile of
rocks and debris that had been left almost blocking the road at one point,
and that got in their way and hindered their travel.

At the end of the day, a lone traveler crossed the finish line warily and
walked over to the king. He was tired and dirty, but he addressed the king
with great respect and handed him a small chest of gold. He said, "I stopped
along the way to clear a pile of rocks and debris that was blocking the
road. This chest of gold was under it all. Please have it returned to its
rightful owner."

The king replied, "You are the rightful owner." "Oh no," said the traveler,
"This is not mine. I've never known such money."

"Oh yes," said the king, "you've earned this gold, for you won my contest.
He who travels the road best is he who makes the road better for those who
will follow."

Remember those words of wisdom as you travel the road of life!

- Author Unknown

It's Friday already tomorrow! The start of another blessed weekend - Go
with God.
