BILL COSBY TO STAND TRIAL!

I just got a breaking news alert in my in box. Bill Cosby is scheduled to go on trial for three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault on June 5, Judge Steven O'Neill said Tuesday.

He'll probably get a slap on the wrist, if anything, but at least he's going to stand trial.

Too far in the future, IMO. It's not like he has a busy concert schedule and is booked solid until then ... lol.

All of the local news stations are saying he will go on trial NO LATER THAN 6/5.

As one of the male news anchors pointed out, that means he can go on trial anytime between tomorrow & 6/5/2017.

The female anchor commented, the women waited years to come forward, so whats a few more months for a trial date?

That's not uncommon at all, unfortunately. Sometimes they rush a celebrity murder trial, but most cases take a long time to get to trial. Everyone thinks it's as speedy as it is on TV, but it can take anywhere from months to years for a case to actually reach trial.

I served on a jury for a rape case and it came to trial nearly 2 years after the actual rape had taken place. The victims were minors, around 12 and 14 at the time of the crime. Imagine being a rape victim and having to repeat your story to the police, then to the grand jury, then to an actual jury and facing your rapist at that point over the course of two years. How are victims supposed to heal when we make them repeat the story and relive the event for years? And people wonder why more victims don't come forward.

Yes, the women waited years, but Cosby is old and could drop dead (or become incapacitated) before they ever have their day in court .... and that would be a cryin shame!

I hope he gets nailed to the wall. I never liked him on film or television or ever thought he was a looker. He was just an actor - acting like a noble character which in real life he wasn't.

I believe Bill Cosby has dementia by now. When he was still going on talk shows and being a hypocrite telling other people how to live (before the scandal broke), I noticed that he rambled a lot. Wouldn't stick to the subject at hand. And he definitely wasn't funny any more. I believe he's legally blind now as well.

Yeah, he might not live through this.

I live in PA not far from where the Cosby legal issues are going on. Its on our local news constantly, and I am tired of seeing it and him. They say hes blind but I saw him looking around at the people while going into the court. (Unless they mean hes legally blind but not totaly blind, he looks like hes faking). Anyway, I said to DH innocent till proven guilty yes, but I dont want to watch him on tv. This whole thing is a let down (and disgusting), from watching his shows and thinking hes a nice man to knowing what he probably did!

This case as well as other cases against Bill Cosby are very disturbing to say the least and has caused major shock waves among Bill Cosby fans. Also this case has pitted women against women, racial divides and fans against non fans.

The man is an actor who acts so why is it a problem separating him from his acting roles? Hollywood has delivered us actors who have been proven to be drunks, drug addicts, spousal abusers, child molesters, murderers, thieves and every other awful crime there is. He's been wearing dark glasses for years explaining his medical issues (long before the allegations came up), so now he's faking? He's a senior citizen who's eyes are failing!

I for one will be waiting for the trial to learn the evidence that's presented against him, I find myself in the middle and will not be commenting on his looks, his wife, his money or anything else that has nothing to do with what he's charged with! I can't stand the mentality of blaming the wife for a husband's misdeeds!
