ACK! @bri20 the paper towels! . . . when I was taking care of my mom she would use them constantly to dry off her hands but we always had to drape them around the kitchen to dry off and use again . . . thank you for that happy memory!

I had an aunt who would rinse off the paper plates. She said my uncle used too many. She had to sneak and rinse them off because he would get mad if he saw her do that.

Oh I just love it. Some things sound too familiar. We have discussions like that all the time.

Example with preface: DH doesn't cook much, yet he comes over to the range while I'm preparing something and tells me I am doing it all wrong.

Me: "Why do you say that?"

Him: "I just know."

Me: "How so?"

Him: "My mother didn't do it that way."

Me: "So you watched your mother prepare it?"

Him: "No, but I'm telling you she didn't do it that way!"

Me: "Really." "Then I am just wasting my time." "You do it, I'm going to watch TV."

Me too: I learned long ago when he does this to say, 'Oh, OK, here you do it." Then walk away and do not return.

Took 3 or 4 times, but he did stop.
