Meditation for the day:

In all of us there is an inner consciousness that tells of God, an
inner voice that speaks to our hearts. It is a voice that speaks to us
intimately, personally, in a time of quiet mediation. It is like a
lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. We can reach out into the
darkness and figuratively touch the hand of God. Deep down inside
each of us is the fundamental idea of God. We can find this great reality
deep down within us. And as we find it, it can change our whole
attitude toward life.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may follow the leading of the inner voice. I pray that
I may not turn a deaf ear to the urging of my conscience.

Greetings my friends! I was going to get this out much earlier, but the
internet was off - we had a storm, not a bad one, but still the internet was
gone for hours! I don't know when it finally got back on, I came here now,
it was still not working, then I rebooted it, and it worked!! Praise God! Of
course I said a prayer, too! I posted a prayer on Viewpoints - and would
you believe that prayer got blocked for comment? I was so surprised when I
went there just before and there was a shout out for me to tell me that. It
says blocked for comment! In all my years here, I've never seen that. But
at least there were 78 views - and maybe 78 prayed the prayer, so that's
always good. We did get a nice rain tonight - little thunder, but not loud.
It got really hot here today - like 92 degrees, and after the rain it sure
cooled down. We sat on the porch watching the birds who are not afraid of a
little rain! Even the cardinal came around! I came over here to see if our
thread is blocked too, but no, it isn't. That's a blessing. Thanks,
Caroline, for your nice, uplifting post! My girls are on their way now - they will stop to see the Ozarks too! Praying for their safety. Darla is so happy that Lori is driving back with her so she doesn't have to drive alone!

Don't let go of hope.

The Power of Prayer

The day was long, the burden I had
borne
Seemed heavier than I could longer
bear,
And then it lifted-but I did not know
Some one had knelt in prayer.
Had taken me to God that very hour,
And asked the easing of the load, and
He,
In infinite compassion, had stooped
down
And taken it from me.
We cannot tell how often as we pray
For some bewildered one,
hurt and distressed,
The answers comes, but many times
those hearts
Find sudden peace and rest.
Some one had prayed, and Faith, a

Prayer For Relieving Stress And Anxiety
Lord, there has been too much change in my life recently, and I feel
overwhelmed. Because I try to be a responsible person, I sometimes forget
that it is unwise for me to allow my sense of duty to override my common
sense.

Lord, help me to allow myself more time to rest, relax, and pray. Guide me
toward something spiritual to read every day and a quiet time afterwards to
reflect on what I have read and how it pertains to my life. I truly want to
simplify my life and live more as Christ did. Help me remember that there
is no loss or problem I must face alone. You are always near, with Your
love and compassion to comfort me. Amen.

Good night everyone! May you all have a good night's rest and sweet dreams!
And a very peaceful, pleasant, positive Saturday filled with blessings from
Our Lord!
