What Don't You Watch On Television?

I thank @RoughDraft for the thread topic, like me, she doesn't watch daytime television with the exception of the news.

I also do't watch sit coms, reality tv shows, beauty pageants, nor prime time dramas.. There are several channels I have blocked as well.

Reality shows. No Survivor, Housewives, Kardashians, Bachelors, nothing in that genre. Ever. I don't like heavy violence either.

Well...............just about everything.

I do like the rehab shows that flip or do home improvements. Some documentaries are okay and Masterpiece Theatre has good story lines. Got to wathcing gthe Search for the Lost Dutman's mine and The Hunt on some island In Canada.

i am not fond too much of sci fi/fantasy shows or movies and i hate anything scary/horror related (witches, ghosts, goblins, spirits, supernatural, etc...).

I TRIED watching a new show on the Food Network the other night but had the same "formula" as all the rest of their programs.

American tv... Period. When I was living in London years ago I discovered how much better their shows were with better acting. Our actors in America come off so phony and the women are too full of Botox to show any real emotion. I search for shows from New Zealand, Australia, England, Scotland and Canada. So much better, especially the detective shows.

I don't watch the "local news"...........unless I actually SEE smoke and flames, and hear sirens coming down the highway for a prolonged period.

I don't know what post you mean, because I don't see it here, but I agree with your tv choices. I don't do tv fiction, whether comedy or drama, or reality shows. I avoid violence. I can't tell you when I turned on traditional network tv. That's me! I'm not putting down choices that others find interesting. We all need our own forms of escape.

I don't watch NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, FNC or any shopping channels other than an occasional QVC ... so that leaves out a lot of stuff.

Also on no no-watch list ... reality shows, sports, alternate lifestyles, violence.

Basically - the TV is set to Music Choice Soundscapes unless there's something decent to watch.

I Had to edit cause I just realized you asked what you DON'T watch.

No sports; Music TV. No Housewives of, Bachelors or Bachelorettes, Divas, Big Fat Wedding/Life, Small People, Duggars, Kate Plus 8 type stuff. I hate it.I only like the following:

True Crime like Snapped and most anything on Discovery ID;

Medical Mystery programming from Discovery networks

Documentaries (some on the history channel)

a couple of game shows;

two dance tv programs: SYTYCD and Bring It,

Re-runs of "The Closer; Law Order Franchise; Monk,

local news,

Late Night shows on CBS, NBC or ABC (James Cordin and Jimmy Fallon)

A couple of programs on HGTV

American Greed on CNBC

Judge Judy

People's Court

Judge Faith

Judge Mathis
