I would need at least 20 for the most basic TV watching. I'd have Fox News, HSN, QVC, and I don't know what else because the rest of my regular channels are equally important/unimportant to me.

This brings back a memory of early "cable" TV. We lived in a small town nestled in the northern Catskill Mountains in New York. It was located such as normal TV reception from the Albany area was impossible. An enterprising person, the owner of the local TV/radio store, put an antenna on top of one of the mountains and ran cable down to the town. Hooked you up for $5 a month and you could get the 3 network TV stations, NBC, CBS, and ABC. That was it. If I had to choose only five now it would not include any of those.

MSNBC, TLC, ID TV, Showtime, HBO (and, of course, I'm cheating because I would include ALL of the showtime and HBO channels within my choices) 😊

Oops; I forgot one. I'd insert the History channel in place of HBO. Very tough question. I'm very spoiled with my current 5 million channels.
