Drew Peterson Gets Another 40 Years In Prison

That lovely and charming former policeman (yikes what a scary thought) who probably killed two wives and was convicted for killing the one of them who isn't still missing, just got sentenced to another 40 years in prison for trying to arrange for a hit man to kill the prosecutor. The sentences were ordered to be served consecutively, pretty much guaranteeing this charmer will spend the rest of his life in prison. To you Illinois tax payers, so sorry you have to feed and house this scumbag.

They have done that; that's the point of this article saying he got yet another 40 yrs. Since he's most likely in jail for the rest of his life, and since Illinois has already spent so much on this scumbag, if they ever do find Stacy I wonder if they'll even bother to try him? Oh, well, first things first which is find Stacy.

I used to work in the town he lived in. I would get the chills every time I drove by the bar he used to frequent. As much as I hate paying for his upkeep I am just glad he is behind bars as there is no doubt in my mind he would have killed somebody else.

If he's in prison for murder and still trying to have people killed, he should be dispatched. He has shown that it's not even safe to allow him to exist incarcerated. JMO

@YorkieonmyPillow to be honest, I think they may have played a little fast and loose with the rules when they convicted him on some things but I think everyone was just desperate to get this psycho off the streets plus the death penalty has been abolished in Illinois.

@momtochloe Not as fast and loose with the rules as the Bollingbrook police played when they failed to properly investigate the supposed "bathtub accident" of the wife of a fellow officer, the "accident" in which wife Schiavo died. The police overlooked - outrageously - a lot of evidence that Peterson killed her.

@Pearlee please know I couldn't agree with you more and the fact that he was a police officer was a huge problem for all phases of the investigation(s) and now thank heavens conviction. I am beyond thrilled he is behind bars but to be honest, if anyone else had been convicted on some of the evidence presented I can't imagine what entities would have crawled out of the woodwork to defend him. The fact that this was met with a deafening silence is evidence everyone knew justice was done.
