I have not had a post removed, but after reading the number of items one male moderator removed this evening I wrote an email to Q expressing that perhaps some mods are over zealous in their job. When I first started following this forum it was more fun. I know it is the Q's property, but perhaps they could re-examine what is happening here and consider lightening-up. I get removing the scammers who would pop up every so often. I know they want to protect thier hosts, but some criticism should be allowed because some of it is deserved.

There are topics that get nasty very fast and this is one of them, if people would keep politics, religion, bigotry and plain hatefulness out of the discussion then and only then can it be civil.

OP...The discussion was about newscasters which revealed a political leaning. Perhaps there would not have been a poofing if the discussion was about the facts, horror of the event, and expressing our condolences. I think the mods are attempting to keep these posts from going "off the rail" due to politics. Actually, during the last attack in France I remember the posts continuing for several pages. We were keeping our discussions about the facts of what was happening and expressing our prayers and concern for those lives that were being directly impacted. The mods did not interfere. I don't know what determines their decisions, but I think politics and religion are delicate areas of discussion and when it becomes heated posters will most likely become concerned. I have learned a lot from these boards and respect the people on them. I don't feel that our discussions are dumbed down as a result of moderation intervention. The mods are doing their job when appropriate.
