Can I Remove a Thread I Started?

I see that a thread I started is just going to go South (silly me for thinking maybe otherwise).

I'd like to remove it but don't know how or if I can.

Is there a way to do that?

If people have posted on it, you can't remove it, but a moderator will at your request.

You can also go into your post and report it as inappropriate and put a note there to delete the thread.

It would be wonderful if we could delete our threads that went south because not all requests to have them removed are honored. But, make the system too automated and the mod's rank and file would shrink and no one would like to see that happen.
