Who is Cortana?

At the bottom of my laptop it says I'm Cortana. Ask me anything. Don't want to click in case I mess up the computer. Any idea?

I think it is kind of like "Siri" DD has it on her laptop.

Its part of windows 10. Ask it anything and it gets to know your voice and opens programs . It is great. Oh BTW, you can google it and learn what it does.

My son's girlfriend -- at least that's who you'd think he's talking to when he speaks to her. She tends to only respond when he uses a certain tone of voice to ask her a question.

The Nightly Show with Larry Willmore did a bit with 'Clippy' from Microsoft the other day. Comedian Mike Yard was playing 'Clippy'. You can google for the bit. It was funny in spots!

I love Mike Yard! He's probably my favorite 'correspondent' on the show.

One fav line he did was when 'somebody' kept refering to 'my black' and 'where's my black' - 'there is my black!'. Mike Yard said 'I guess he didn't get the email - we're free'. That still cracks me up.

I have "O.K. Google" on my Android phone. DH has Cortana on his.

There is NO danger. In fact, you might like it.

I can send a voice text through Cortana as well as my phone which has the Google app. just like Cortana or Siri.

I dont use Cortana and I might add I am not a fan of Windows 10. (I just got a new laptop over a month? ago). I know computers well and I had a hard time getting used to 10. Im still not used to it, and find it annoying! lol.
