I'M GETTING A THIRD EAR PIERCING

I've been thinking about it for some time.....I love studs.............I'm going to go for it!

I read you have to keep the earings in 24/7 for 6 weeks......It's been a while since I had the 2nd piercing-so I don't remember too much-hate sleeping in earrings................

Do you have enough lobe\skin to accommodate 3 piercings? I just have one. I had a second pierce 35 years ago but it got infected, hurt, didn't heal so I let them close up. I have a small lobe so maybe that contributed to my problem. Cartilage piercings are more problematic.

I have 5 in one ear and 6 in the other...I mix studs and small hoops...I can only wear gold...DW

Just got back from Claire's-the girl that did the piercings was perfect!

It did hurt-but just for a second..........

Love that look, @catlover. I only have two like that, but have thought about #3 for a long time, just haven't done it. On one ear, I have a third hole higher up on my hear. I keep the same stud in that hole all the time.

Congrats on your new piercing! I had a second pierce done a long time ago. I had the same problem as Picky Petunia, because the pierce was just high enough that it was through the cartilage and that dang thing never healed, kept getting infected and still hurt to sleep on 6 months later. I took the earring out and let it grow shut. There isn't even a mark there so it truly never healed until I took the earring out for good.

Hope you have better luck! I really liked it but it just didn't work out for me. My friend, who had hers done at the same time, never had a problem with hers and still loves it!

I had 3 on each ear and I let them grown back in after about a year...my hair was long and kept getting tangled in them. Enjoy your new piercings!
