Corn on the Cob

I love corn on the cob, especially with a little salt and butter.

I tend to eat it by going round, turning it.

How do you like to eat corn on the cob?

Do you go round or eat it typewriter style?

I hate to admit it, but ............................

I cut mine off the cob. LOL No one else in my family does this so, of course, they all make fun of me, but I just can't stand eating the corn right off the cob. Once it's cut off, I top it with lots of butter and salt. Delicious!

Same here. Just too messy .. more effort than it's worth.

Don't you just love when you cut it and some of it comes off in chunk

I like mine sweet and juicy. This is a good time to put it on the grill too. Ahhh, all the GMO goodness.........

When I had braces years ago, I ate the corn on the cob with it cut off and then buttered and salted. That is the only veggie I add salt to. I eat it now on the cob but not typewriter style.

When my mother was living me I had to cut the corn off the cob for her because of dentures. I still do that. I hate getting junk stuck between my teeth. I melt some butter in a frying pan. throw the kernels in and just heat it up. I add salt and sometimes smoked paprika. I also like corn raw in salads. I think a lot of people over cook corn.

This thread made me smile . . . yesterday I grilled a few ears and was in such a hurry to taste them I started typewriter style and then quickly realized why I usually cut the kernals off of the cob. It was delicious!

I love corn on the cob! Especially off the grill with garlic butter! Yummy.

I think I like it so much because as a child I never got to eat it. Cultural differences are to blame for. My mom's side of the family NEVER ate corn! It was, and still is, considered PIG FOOD. So I say: "LET ME WALLOW! WEEEEE!!"

This is an old Weight Watchers trick and everyone I've mentioned it to has loveed it. Rather than putting any butter on (too many calories), sprinkle parmesean cheese on it (or roll it on some if you put some on a plate first). It doesn't take much to make it very flavorful. When I showed this trick to my sister, she said it tasted like cheddar cheese corn. It's really good that way, and no salt needed either - the parm cheese gives it the little zip of salt that shaking on salt would..
