Just thought I would share. This Sunday we will be celebrating our 50th. Married to my best friend and that is the secret. And we are as opposite as night and day.

Congratulations to you both. You two obviously grew together as the years went by. Some couples grow apart as time passes. My husband and I married very young and kind of grew up together. We aren't too far behind you.

Any plans for the big day?

Four daughters planning a big party. I don't know the details. I am hoping for ice cream and a square dance call or two. I gave them a list of friends and I thought they were going to put me up for adoption. When you are a "dancer" the entire dance community is your family. FRIENDSHIP SET TO MUSIC.

@Shelbelle Hope I did that right. Shelbelle you are in Maryland as I remember.

We are in Maryland. Wondering if your sis is my friend. Ask her if she is going to Frederick, Maryland. This could not be a coincidence. Lots of people coming. All my friends. Heck, what can I say, when you dance you know everyone and they are friends forever. Or they could be non dancing friends, poor souls. Got to get them into our wonderful activity. Or they could be distantly related to us.... love relatives as well even if they do not dance. LOL. Write back. Leaving in a few hours to go to hotel t hat I did not book but the girls thought it would be nice. They do not travel from Friday night to Saturday night and I guess we will have to follow the rules. LOL

Congratulations are in order for your and your DH. We just celebrated our 40th and wonder where the time went. Enjoy your day with your family and friends. Like you, DH and I are complete opposites but it has worked for us. It's great to see couples celebrating these milestone anniversaries in this day and age of "throw away everything". Again, congratulations!

@hckynut Hi, you don't know the half of it. We are total total total opposites. But then all my friends were organized all my life and had a plan that they followed. I am a free spirit. So we are one brain... left (him), right (me). So much fun. Love to send a picfture your way but really don't think people do that here.

@Shelbelle Still very curious. Is your sis coming to my big party that my girls are throwing for us. The situation has gotten so extreme that I would like to head for WV only a few miles away and hide.
