As an adult person who lives a pretty much all adult or older children life I do not have opportunity to use the word crayon much in everyday conversation. When I do say it is cray- on.

I've heard it both ways all of my life. I was just watching a youtube video where the lady said "crans".

@cookinfreak Gosh, you just gave me goosebumps. I suddenly remembered one of my grandmothers saying, "...get your colors & color book..."

Most of the older folk in my deep south deep woods town says cray-uns.

I catch myself saying it like that, how my grandmother, who was a closet artist and taught me the love for coloring.....the smell of crayons will always remind me of her.... said it, but I normally just say crayon.

Grew up saying "cray-ons"...now, do you say pee-cans or

pee-cons? 😄
