Sometimes its takes me a few days but I always let the person know well in advance. But I have found that MANY people don't feel the need and just show up. IMHO that is incredibly rude. The host needs to know how much food and favors need to be avalible why do people not get that?! I don't want to order a cake to feed 40 and have 60 people show up or order a cake for 60 and have 40 show up!
