Do You Still

iron? I was looking for something special to wear today as I am going out for lunch. I found a real cute top that I haven't worn in a really long time and it needs ironing. I had no idea where my iron was. It was in the basement. It's a Rowenta and I haven't used it in years. I used to iron my husband shirts all the time and now it's always casual at work and when he does where a shirt he just brings it to the laundry now. I ironed my top and off I went. Not a wrinkle on it. Thanks.

I do still iron some things though certainly with todays fabrics I iron much less.

Definitely still iron. I’m a 100% cotton gal. I keep the ironing board in my closet so it’s close at hand.

Yes, I still iron and use my clothes steamer. Some clothes just don't look right to me without a touch up ironing or steaming.

I am retired, but DH still works part time. Though it is one of my most undesired tasks, I iron once a week every week for DH's shirts. I iron my clothes when I'm going out and need something besides casual jeans/tee (my regular ultra-casual uniform).

I iron, steam, & sometimes hang certain things right of the dryer. it depends on the need. My iron & steamer are always handy.

Yes, I still iron and have the ironing board & iron set up at all times. My dress pants are usually OK but just about all my tops need ironing. I even hang them up as soon as they are out of the dryerl.

I iron as little as possible. My iron is so old it has a cloth covered wire electrical cord. I usually steam using the My Little Steamer.

I really am not answering for @teainlondon, but I know at our house, if you are the one not working outside the home, (whether retired, stay at home mom, laid off etc.) the bulk of the household chores ARE your job.

It only seems fair to us that whoever is at home, take up the most of the household chores. If both are occupied outside the home, then it gets split.

I know my sister in law, who hasn't worked enough in her life to mention, but lives the socialite life, will iron her own clothing, but not her husband's. I find in a slap in the face when one spouse won't do for another, and uses something like that to make a point of some kind.

It's my least favorite job, but I have to iron my husbands shirts for work. I tried sending them out, no starch, brought home and switched them over to our hangers but he knew!

I don't think like that. He works part-time. There's no reason for her to do it, if she doesn't care for it. His work shirts, he can iron them.

I iron quite a bit - even some knits looks better ironed. I love my Rowenta - I keep my ironing board up all the time in my spare room. But if I have a number of things to iron I do it while watching TV. Hubby takes his shirts to be laundered - that's a little toooo much work lol.

I iron many times a week and since I line dry all my jeans they are ironed after each washing. For me ironing is a way to relieve stress. Removing wrinkles (of my life) and the smooth circular type motions are soothing to me.

More, should, look like street people if you don't. I've seen people come into church with still wet hair. People in store in their pj's . Men and women.

People pumping gas in hair rollers and pj's talking on cellphones.

People are just plain lazy today. No manners and just don't care. All about ME and my comfort. Give the finger to society.
