Not sure where to post this... signing in

As far as signing in, is there any way to avoid having to sign in several times a day? It's kind of a nuisance. Thanks!

@spent2much, I only sign in one time each day. I use an iMac, with either Firefox or Chrome browsers, and an iPad 3 and iPhone 5. What type of device do you use, and which browser? Be sure all your software is up-to-date, clear cookies/cache/website data regularly (because this site is especially "sensitive" to that old, stored data), and you might want to try a different browser if everything is current and you still have this problem.

(I use: iMac desktop (OS X 10.11.4) with Firefox (v. 45.0.2) and Chrome (v. 50.0.2661.86), also iPad 3 and iPhone 5 (iOS 9.3.1).

@dooBdoo I use a desktop computer with Windows 7 and Chrome. Thanks for the tips. Anyone else have an opinion?

I think it depends on your browser. I only use Chrome, and I can stay logged in for several hours (with no activity). Even if I get logged out, it's just 2 clicks to get back in because I have my info saved in Chrome.

I wanted to add something for iPad/iPhone users:

I've noticed if I close the Safari app multitasking in the background I do have to sign in again. This means the Q site needs to be multitasking in background if you want to remain signed in.

So, if you want to stay logged in on the Q forums:

1 -- Don't close the Safari app running in background.

and

2 -- Take a look in "Settings," under "General," and tap "Background App Refresh." Be sure it's turned off.

I have to sign in often when I want to post, becuase I use private browsing and have strict cookie rules. You might want to check your settings, or if you like more privacy, get used to signing in more often!
