Michael Strahan to leave LIVE and move to GMA full time

Ratings have been fallng at GMA in certain demographics. So they decided to move Strahan there full time in the fall. Tryouts for a new cohost for Kelly will start in the fall too.

What do you think? Who should replace Strahan on Live?

Don't watch Kelly and Michael but love him on GMA.

I think is Kelly's husband was her co-host it'd be a hoot ! He's so cute.

Hey there, Deb! I have no idea. I have only ever seen the show when I've been waiting for my car to be serviced and it's on the TV in the waiting area. Michael has been a good addition. May be hard to replace.

Will be interested in seeing what others think.

I know I stoppd watching GMA when Lori or aura moved in. Too much peppiness with my coffee. Now another former gma is on cbs morning news. Josh Elliot?

Anderson Cooper would be great - he's good on anything. But I doubt he would leave CNN for the job. He likes being a serious journalist and traveling for news stories. Neil Payrick Harris is good with Kelli but again that would limit his Broadway and other TV work.

It would take more than Michael Strahan to get me back to GMA. The morning shows are little more than a platform for rock musicians and endless commercials. I'm not interested in either. I'm really tired of Robin Roberts too. In fact i got tired of the whole crew which is why I no longer watch a morning show.

That's an interesting idea. I don't know yet whether I'm pro or con (not that ABC cares!), but he is good when he's on with her.

i think fred savage or anderson cooper would be excellent choices (although i could not imagine anderson cooper has the time to do that full time). someone just tweeted to watch what happens live on bravo that jerry oconnell would make a good replacement. i also wonder about mark consuelos taking the job?

I think Anderson Cooper would be great for that spot. Good idea IMO!

Well I don't watch GMA - haven't for years and changes at this point will not make me go there. Course I have not watched Kelly and Michael very much either. I am also one of those who feels the morning shows have gotten really bad - nothing there or no one there I really want to see. Shame on me perhaps but would love to go back some years and see some of the shows and hosts long gone. They were good. I now spend my time early morning watching a local news program that is very good - they start at 4 a.m. and run through about 10 a.m., using two different sets of hosts however - really good!!! Although it is news, they also have reviews on various things like many of the big station shows.

I am not surprised he is leaving. Kelly had to carry him long enough as he doesn't have the gift of gab and often stumbled. He also made some comments to Kelly about her age that made me think she was about to slap him.

Martin Short was wonderful with her during the try outs as was Josh Groban. Hopefully, there will be someone with more chemistry and the show will continue. I stopped watching after about two years of watching with Strahan. It was a strained relationship between the two of them and I guess I saw what others did.

I don't watch Kelly and Michael much anymore. To me, it's become stale. I agree about Kelly carrying him. She also gets on my nerves though. She's always interrupting. Drives me crazy. One thing I do agree with is Josh Groban as Michael's replacement. I've seen Josh co-host a couple of times and he's been great. I was really surprised at how funny he is.
