Talk on the air?

The post about our first QVC purchase, got me to thinking, have any of you talked on the air? I order online now ,but for many years I ordered by phone, and in all that timeI was asked maybe a half dozen times to speak. I never did, how about you?

I spoke on the air on HSN one time with Callie. I had to hold for quite a while. I was ready to hang up when she started talking to me. It was very brief, and I don't remember what the product was.

Many years ago, I talked on air on Shop nbc (now Evine) in the middle of the night. I think I sounded ok, but afterwards I was a little freaked out thinking that somebody I know might have known it was me. LOL. I did it just for the heck of it; spur of the moment kind of thing.

I was asked once to speak to David but declined as I have a terrible Jersey accent.

I've been asked a number of times and always declined. Now I only order online.

Yes. Many years ago on HSN. Have been asked to on QVC but have turned them down.

Once was enough.

Now I order on-line 99% of the time!

I spoke with Tova many years ago, can't remember who the host was. I think I was able to push 1 or something to request to talk on the air. I wasn't asked.

I also spoke to Suzanne Somers on HSN when she was on the air. Can't remember who the host was then, either!

I was asked once through the automated system, but I declined. I was afraid that the craziness in the background here might get picked up on air! 😱

Yes. One time on HSN many years ago when I purchased a sterling silver necklace. The host was a male but I can't for the life of me remember his name. Then another time on the Q to Judy Crowell. I had purchased an animated Coca Cola Santa for the holidays.

I've been asked several times, but always say: "Thank you, but not at this time."

Sometimes I would like to call in on the testimonial line, just so I can have a questioned answered, but the times I've been asked to participate are times I felt I wouldn't have anything of interest to say.

I talked on the air one time with Mary Beth Roe during a tiffany style lighting show -- many years ago.

Over the years i've spoken with Dan Wheeler, Lisa R, Jane T who was doing a show with Barbara Bixby and we chatted because her son was going to school in the area where I lived. I also spoke with Rick during a Diamonique show. I remember I submitted an idea to do a tennis/line necklace, much like a tennis bracelet, and they took the idea and did a TSV with the necklace. I was the first caller that night.

It has been many years since I have spoken to any of the hosts on-air. I usually order on-line and sometimes by phone, and quite frankly, I do not even know who some of these hosts are any more.

I am dating myself when I say that I spoke with Steve Colantuno and Jeffrey Hewson, and I imagine that was at least 20+ years ago. It seems like it was more common back then to be asked to talk to the hosts, especially since there was no online shopping and all orders were called in to an operator.

I've never talked on the air. I recall being asked if I wanted to a few times but I always declined. That was many years ago. I've been ordering online ever since I realized we could so I don't get the opportunity now.

So did the caller in January who spoke with Leah about D&C. She was from an island in South Jersey.

I have spoken on air to quite a few of the host that have worked at the Q for a long time but I haven't spoken to the newer host yet.

Back then for some reason they asked me to speak on the air quite a bit.

I was always tempted to scream out hey it's me Pqfan!

Yes but that was probably ten years ago. I haven't ordered by phone in years and years. I don't remember the host or the product. It wasn't s big deal.

I've been asked if I wanted to speak with hosts several times through the years but I declined. I've never liked the idea of the callers and sure didn't want to be one. I only order online now so I never speak to an operator.
