We have had terrible winds here since early afternoon. I went outside and could hardly walk. It even turned over my huge official city garbage can. It's still blowing and roaring hard. Temperature tomorrow is supposed to drop 20° lower than today. The whole state is under a severe fire warning since dried tumbleweeds are piled as high as walls in many places and they burn like paper. I heard this storm is headed toward the upper mid-west so look out!

That storm must be moving north too. Denver is under a blizzard warning through tomorrow. Winds are expected to be 50+ mph. Today was in the 70s! Welcome to spring in the Rockies. Be safe!

Yes, our winds were 50+ too, but we missed out on the moisture. Too dry, humidity this afternoon was 11%.

I'm in the Midwest. It's windy here. I see some of my neighbors empty flower pots from last summer blew into my backyard last night.

That's got to be some of the winds we had this last week too, the dumpsters out at the roadside all got blown over and all kinds of branches came down!!!!!! SW Michigan

Dry as a bone here, also, in Amarillo. Windy, as usual , this time of yr.

I got a giant boulder decoration being delivered this afternoon. Weighs almost 600 pds. it shouldn't blow ! LOL

I'm always interested in the threads about weather, but I do wish everyone would remember to tell us the area they are in (not necessarily specific) so that we could understand where the weather issue is. It's enough to say, "the Atlanta area" or "N.Carolina mountains". If you don't at least mention the state, it doesn't tell us much. Thanks for trying this, please!!

It was 60 in Wyoming Sunday and we had a blizzard yesterday. High winds and probably 3'' of snow. So it's all white again. Up to 28º right now.

This weather is very odd. I don't remember us having so many windy days and high wind warnings like we've been getting the past 2 years.

Yesterday was sunny and about 60, today it's supposed to be 60 but with a chance of rain. It's cloudy and blah here. Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy but warm and then Friday, cold and rain/snow mix. Warm again Saturday and Sunday, cold again Monday.

We went out to lunch yesterday. We were sitting outside. The umbrella from the table next to us went flying over us and two other tables. The winds howled all night long.

@Kachina624, I'm in the upper Midwest you referenced. Yesterday we had a Red Alert for fire, today it is blowing like a banshee and we are expecting 8" of snow. Yuck! The good news is that it won't last long. I am prepared to hole up until sometime Friday.

Snow day for us in Denver. 40mph winds, snowing about 1"-2" per hour & low visibility. There's about 8" of snow piled up on my balcony railing right now. The noon temp was around 30° yet it was sunny & 70° yesterday. Interesting how quickly these storms can move in. I woke up around 3:30 a.m. & there was only a little rain. Went back to sleep until 6 & it was snowing like crazy. Yup, springtime in the Rockies!

Well, I think it's time to snuggle down under a quilt & take a nap. Yawn...

Puppy just let me know he had to go outside. It started snowing a couple of hours ago. I was shocked when I had to plant my full weight against the door to open it far enough to let him out! I'm guessing it's around 10-12", with more to come.

@Perkup Amen, I totally agree. It's doesn't make much sense to mention your weather without some clue as to where you are.

winds have died down some down here. Idiot who bought my giant rock went down the wrong street with it. LOL he had to back down the mile long street because he couldn't turn around the long flat bed truck that had the front end loader on it with the boulder rock.

Weighs over 500 pds hope the wind doesn't blow it over !

For those who question why rock? I've come to understand here in Tx.

where dry as a bone most of the time you decorate with what you normally wouldn't even think about elsewhere. I've seen yards using driftwood as decoration. I got sheet metal cactus too. Fencing, is gas pipe.

My sisters back up in Southern Ind. go "what"? LOL

When I was outside earlier, it was 70. The wind has really, really picked up and it started to pour. The rain is supposed to change to a rain/snow mix later tonight and tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 40!
