The California sun

The snow's gone, but the gray isn't. It makes me remember when we've been able to go out west and enjoy California, Arizona and New Mexico sun. I sure would love some sun today. We just aren't there yet "sun-wise" and I sure would like to feel it on the old bones today. I love it out west.

Anyone else pining to be somewhere else today?

No, I'm happy where I am in Fl. It is warm, sunny and quite beautiful today. Of course, in July you will be enjoying moderate temps and we will be sweltering.

we have gone from winter to summer.......mid atlantic area. yesterday we broke a record with 81 degrees and we were 30 degrees above our normal temperature for this time of the year. i would really love to have some SPRING before we go into the warm weather. we are at 79 today and may break another record. i guess WE have the southern california weather today.

I live in Florida and we snowbird to Pa for the summers.. On the opening page of my computer I have the daily weather in both places. The summer of 2011 - our first snowbird summer - it was exceptionally hot in Pa and there were actualy days it was a few degrees hotter than Fl. when i looked at the two on my computer.

There's no sun in this part of CA. It's cold, gray and wet.

But we are thankful for every drop of rain, so probably none of us will complain.

Wow , here in SW florida - right on the gulf - we are in the high 70's and I don''t believe we have hit 80 yet.Inland they probably have.

It was very gray here yesterday, and oddly sunny at the moment. No rain. Tomorrow or Sunday, they're saying. There's just enough threat that I can't plan anything seriously outdoors.

Whilel I live in central Mass. I am ready to make another trip out to southern Ca. I have not been out there to visit my son & his wife since Thanksgiving.. I wish I could fly out there every few months but I would not want to make myself be unwelcomed.

They treat me like a queen and a very good to my husband & I.

It's been gloriously sunny at the Jersey Shore. Yesterday was 75 and today is 80. There were people on the beach both days.

i am headed to the delaware shore for a long easter weekend......i sure hope we have this kind of weather while we are there! this would be a perfect weekend there!

DH & I live in S. WI & they just said this has been the warmest winter since 1900 when they started recording temps. It has been in the 60's-70's for over a week. Our 46th wedding anniversary is on Monday & I asked my DH last night if he could get tickets for Riviera Maya. Ha. Ha. We went there with friends last year. Just beautiful. I am very happy living in the Midwest as I love fall the Best.

I am in the upper Midwest and my golf club opened today. Yay! I have a tee time tomorrow when it is supposed to hit 70. It has been a long winter.

Hi Maggie, I was just enjoying reading your post when I saw my name pop up I didn't know you were a golfer. I know tomorrow will be so much fun for you!

No, not my kitty, but it reminded me of the way ours sit at the window watching the rain. We have a white silver tipped Persian and a multi-color brown, black, caramel and dove gray Persian. Oh how we love them!

Do you have pets?

@Noel7, just have one pet now, the little avatar guy, a Golden Doodle. I've had numerous cats and dogs through the years, thought about another cat, but my BIL visits and is hyper allergic to cats. Plus, my little pup thinks he is the only one who should have mom's love! Spoiled spoiled spoiled!

I was born and raised So Cal but now live in the Pacific Northwest. It has been very windy with episodes of rain the last two days. Just went out to pick up a bunch of branches off the fir trees. It is now starting to rain again.
