Dare I say it - I think winter is over!

Tomorrow starts a warm streak here in Indiana - will be in 70's next week. Finally taking covers off of windows and will be throwing the doors open next week! I think my body might start thawing out. Fingers crossed!

I had an inch and a half of gorgeous wet snow on my deck this morning. The trees were incredibly beautiful.......and I normally HATE snow. But it sure was a pretty look this morning. Especially since it didn't stick to the pavement.

I'm also just outside DC. We got the same inch and a half!!!! Wasn't it gorgeous???!!!!!

I'm in S.E. Louisiana, and it looks like spring here already. Our azaleas are in full bloom and everything is budding out - new leaves and sprouts everywhere. We still have hoards of birds heading back north - yesterday our yard loooked like a Hitchcock movie. And this morning we had two fine fat robins out back. Good signs. We love spring, fall and winter here, but the summer is miserably hot and humid. Enjoy your spring!

It was really beautiful - especially on the trees. But very happy it melted for the most part.

Here in Northern Va last night we got snow. When I got up there was snow on the grass!

Most of it is gone, but Prince William County (Va) canceled school today (?). None of the other areas did.

Most people don't realize how Prince William County is vast and includes parts of the Blue Ridge Mountains, etc. Our roads are two lane very winding roads, not like in the city like Fairfax or Arlington (Va).

I used to question them shutting down the schools and then I talked to parents who live way out in the country. So when you guys see where our schools are closed, that's why. Very few children walk to school.

We here in Va (Northern Va) are in a transition. We are used to it. We can be hot (next week it will hit 70's) and be freezing (down to 30's).

Careful! I thought we were out of the cold too and I looked up from work yesterday and it was snowing and sleeting after a 70 degree day the day before. Not one single good for anything meteorologist mentioned any white stuff in the morning. Just some rain in the evening, they said. Um, wrong.

Today we are sunny and 60. I love March!

Back north, who knows? I remember 6" of snow on Mother's Day. As far as "winter" goes down here, it is probably over. Next week's temperatures are predicted to be up into the mid 80's. Looks like I won't be needing my boots, coats, and gloves.

@hoosieroriginal I'm with ya! There was an inch or two of snow on the ground this morning from last night's snow (NE Ohio), but the sun came out and melted it (Yeah!) The warming trend is supposed to start next week here too. I say, "Break out the sandals and put those boots in the closet!"

Hi everyone. Nice to see the reports coming north.

I am in Nova Scotia and was lucky to get two garden days in during late Feb. Imagine that, almost unheard of! Back in the deep freeze now. Well below freezing this morning and calling for a nor'easter tomorrow into Sunday. We are just on the cusp of it, we might get rain or 30 cms of snow depending on how the edge moves.

It won't last long if it is snow ... Good weather coming up the Eastern Seaboard. I am thankful for a decent winter this year! LM

A category 3 storm is moving in, ready to hit hard tomorrow, so they say.

We are being told to expect power outages, trees and power lines down.

I am so ready for spring!

I am looking forward to warmer weather, too. But, we still need every drop of rain that we can get.
