Oh No ! Not my Snickers bar !

There is a recall on Mars, Milky Way and Snickers bars made in the Netherlands with best before date of 6/19/16 thru 1/8/17. Check your candy bars. I think they said plastic was found in the candy but some of the bars made in the USA are not affected. I LOVE my Snickers bar.

I found cardboard in some Xmas candy back when I was eating candy one year. EWWWWWWWWWWW

I don't eat candy bars (only because of the calories).

I just don't understand why they would make candy bars (or anything for that matter) in the Netherlands or any other country and ship it to the U. S.

Makes no sense.

I don't think Mars makes the candy there and ships it back here. There is nothing on the FDA website anyways (not yet).

From what I read ,the recall does not extend to the US!

(I don't remember the exact websites but you can research it and see the same info) It was mostly Europe and 2 other countries I believe-Not the US!

This morning it is reported the recall is in European countries & pkgs. marked "Mars Netherlands".

I do hope the reports are right that it doesn't extend to the US.

I think it was quite responsible of them to include such wide recall dates but phew what a waste.

Sunkist needs to recall their navel oranges. I had two this week with seeds. I actually pulled the bags out of the recycle bin just to make sure I didn't grab the wrong type. Nope, navel oranges "Juicy and Seedless!"

Not even the healthy stuff is safe anymore. What is this world coming to?

Years ago, when I was a little girl, I bit into a Lorna Doone cookie and there was a small metal piece in the cookie. My Ma wrote a letter to the manufacturer, sent them the Lorna Doone package wrapper and the piece of metal. She assured them she wasn't going to sue - she loved Lorna Doones and wanted them to know.

A couple of weeks later a Nabisco truck pulls up to my house with a huge box of Nabisco crackers/cookies, etc.

I haven't been able to eat a Lorna Doone in over 40 years, lol.
