Buy a Sleep Number bed at the Q, or any place online. That is a huge amount of money to me, and I would expect it to be set up also.

Buy a large screen TV from the Q. They used to have some great sounding deals, but wonder how they turned out?

We have had a sleep number for twenty years. You can't beat the comfort (and it indirectly affects your health), it doesn't have to be turned like conventional mattresses nor replaced from sweat, ect. Your choice is actually more expensive in the long run.

I would Never say Never! I have and it didn't work out so well when I had to eat my words. LOL Hi @Mama Mia.

I prefer to "check" out a bed before I purchase and I prefer to catch sales on big purchases, but some people don't have the option to do so. That's why the Q and other places allow you to purchase on line. Never know what "helps" some.

Do you believe that the mattress you lie down on in the store is the one they ship to your home?

Do you have any idea how long it has been sitting there and how many people have been on it?

What's the difference? What is delivered is "pot luck"!

I agree; I buy a lot of tbings from QVC. A lot. But I draw the line at tv's, mattresses, beds. I don't buy those things often, so going out to shop for them is not a problem and they are very expensive and it must be a nightmare if you want to return them. There are certain things in life that I just have too see before I buy.

I wouldn't buy beds or other furniture from QVC. There are some things that I want to try out first hand without blindly buying what some salesperson is trying to push. Lol, I 've slept on Sleep Number beds elsewhere before and prefer my regular bed at home.

The main reason I wouldn't purchase anything large or heavy online from anyone is because of possible return issues. Who is so good at re-packing (never mind the PIT* it is to do at all) that they get everything properly back in the box so it closes? And then have to schlep it somewhere to send back - heavy, awkward...no way! A mattress, never, but a TV maybe - except for the return issue if it arrived malfunctioning, screen cracked, etc. for that reason alone, no.

@ECBGTotally agree! Have had mine for two years and it has taken care of chronic back pain. Love it and would do it again in a heartbeat. Well worth the money! However, I think she was against buying them online. I'm glad I went to the store and tried it out.

I wouldn't order something that large and expensive from the Q either.

One simple reason: too difficult to send back. And I've had to complain several times when I returned something defective or with a glitch in it to the Q and they argue with you that it's OK.

My daughter ordered a new mattress set from Macy's. Her dad helped her set it up and they both noticed a large (about a two feet) tear in the underside. It also felt nowhere near as comfy as the one in the store. She called Macy's, they sent their people back to pick it up and told her to keep all the free things that had come with it.

I ONLY BY LOCAL FOR THINGS LIKE THAT.

We bought locally ... set up included. The guys that brought the bed, mattress, box springs didn't know they were to set it up. Clueless was an understatement. We had to help them set up everything. They were angry, we were angry and it was not a good night. Delivery was at 4 pm ... we got it at 9 pm and then had to put it together because they didn't know how.

Don't believe anything they tell you ... local or on tv.

We had a sleep number bed years and years ago - bought it from a local store. At that time they came and set it up - and I would never buy another SN unless it was set up for me. There are so many parts and parts and parts - for the money I would demand service. Why should I (we) have to be the installer?

I would love to own a sleep number bed but from QVC? No way! Even if the price was right, NO. Already have experience with them ordering heavy, cumbersome things and it didn't end well.

Never would I ever buy a t-shirt with rhinestones all over it. Fortunately, they seem to have gone out of fashion.

I bought an all-weather wicker patio set, table and four chairs, from the Q around 2006, and it is beginning to show its age, but it is the most comfortable set for sitting, chatting, and casual dining--and was not expensive at all. In the $350 range.

It's not sold anymore, or I would buy another one.
