I won Wynonna concert tickets years & years ago. Tickets to another concert, but it ended up being canceled. I don't even remember who it was. I won makeup from temptalia's site. That was a good one. $50 once on a scratch off.

I recently won a $10 check from Publishers Clearughouse. Yers ago I won tennis shoes and tote but never received them.

I won a gift bag this past Christmas in a drawing at a hair salon. I don't remember the last time I won anything so I was pretty excited when they called and said I won. Unfortunately it was filled with a product line for curly hair and my hair is stick straight. I ended up giving it to someone with that hair type.

When I was a kid I won a hand-held video game from a contest I didn't even remember entering.

In high school, my journalism teacher submitted all of our exam essays to a USA Today essay contest on the first amendment and I won first place. I won $1000, a trip to Washington DC to tour USA Today and go to a luncheon at the National Press Club, and was invited to a dinner in San Francisco (not far from me) by the journalism teacher of one of the honorable mentions. I got to meet Helen Thomas at the Press Club lunch, which was probably the highlight of the trip.

And I've won a few small things in raffles, but nothing really big.

In a former job, my name was pulled from our employee appreciation week drawing. I won 2 round-trip tickets to anywhere in the continental U.S., 4 night Marriott stay, and $500 spending money. Took my son to Disney and Sea World He was 8. Great memories!!

First time I won some money was on a horse race. LOL!!! My grandmother lived across the street from a shopping outlet where there was a grocery store. I always went over to buy fruit & got a ticket which I won. I thought that was the neatest thing. Of course I was just a little kid.

I have also won an albumn, a birthday cake, t-shirt, a few freebies from Allure's giveaways, candle wax to make candles with, small amounts of money on lottery tickets. Can't think of anything else right off.

I won headphones last year. I don't remember the brand, but they're not expensive (relatively speaking!). They retail for about $100. I haven't used them, should try selling online.

What a nice post. I have been dealing with some serious issues, so it gave me a good laugh.

When I was 10 years old, many years ago I won a hula hoop contest. I hula hooped for 8 hours non stop. I got my pix in the local paper & a certificate. 16 years ago I signed up for a drawing at our St. Vincent's & won a nice basket of new baby items. I knew that one of my DD's neighbors was expecting so I told her to give it too her. As soon as she gave this lovely basket away, our DD & DSIL found out that they were expecting our 1st DGC. He turned 15 last week. I was blessed many times over.

I won a 7 night trip to Maui, all expenses paid including airfare and car rental, several years ago through a raffle at a large work event. I've won smaller prizes like a gift basket at a new store opening and a flower arrangement at a newcomer's event after I moved to a different state/community.

I've won four prizes for photos I have taken of my rescue cats. I'm a bit of a stage-mom.

The prize was calendar publication for three of those, but I won a fancy camera years ago too, from Friskies (which I don't buy!). It was a third prize in a national contest and it was for a shot of my late-great Jay Gatsby as a kitten, hanging by his toenails.

Just a lucky shot; and Jay-Jay really was photogenic--his temperament was super-intense, which came out in so many pics I took of him..

I just thought of something else. The company that I worked for did a monthly drawing for perfect attendance. I won $500 twice. This was over 20 years ago. The first time DH & I took a trip to Jamaica & the second time we put the money towards a beautiful solid oak dining room set. We were building a new home & it is still a beautiful set. I left work 14 years ago with a disability, but my company was good to me & still flourishing.

Some years back I won a $1,000.00 gift certificate from QVC in a late nite drawing. `I don't really remember what the criteria was to get your name in the basket for the drawing. But Kathy Levine drew my name. A nice treat.
