Wow that is interesting. I can see how this is true for me in some ways. I only purchased things from QVC a few times a year until recently. What's different in my life is now I am caring for my Mom who has Alzheimer's. But also I am home more these days so that is another reason. It's not like I didn't shop before, just not on QVC.

I admit getting beautiful things makes me happy. So far I haven't spent money I couldn't afford.so I wouldn't call it an addiction. I won't be suffering any negative consequences except for maybe over accessorizing. But it is important to remember feeling better through shopping is fleeting but then again so is overeating, drinking etc but with health consequences. I guess whether it is an addiction depends on whether it is interfering with your life. In my case it keeps me sane and I get good stuff delivered so I feel ok about it. Good article though and if it's you, you know who you are. For me, if I don't want to be tempted I don't watch it.
