Evidently he gave up on fighting extradition from Mexico. They showed a photo of him on the CNN website and boy does he look like a real dope head.

I hope he has a nice welcoming committee waiting to meet him at the airport. And I also want his accomodations to be checked out so they are in order.

For those of us in Texas, he can't get back here soon enough. We are waiting to get his sorry butt back on our soil.

UPDATE -- he has arrived at DFW airport. Hair isn't dyed black anymore.

That is why he gave up the extradition fight. You watch, he is going to be right back on the streets in a matter of time. The US does a terrible job at prosecuting arrogant people like this kid.

The jails are so full, no new jails are being built, so criminals are getting lots of free passes nowadays. He is not considered "criminal enough", ie he is not a murderer, he is not drug trafficking, etc.

The US picks and chooses who goes to jail now to relieve the overcrowding. It is a conversation that needs to be had at every level, but it won't happen. $$$$$, it takes lots of $$$$ to fix our broken systems. JMO

He had a taste of what Mexican jails are like. But he is still just as arrogant as he was. Mexican jail did not straighten him out.

How is he not a murderer? He killed four people based on what I heard. I just don't get this case and in Texas of all places. Those 12 year olds who attempted to kill their friend in Wisconsin have had way more jail time and consequences than he ever will apparently and they are certifed mentally ill. No one has said he was anything other than an arrogant entitled drunk. I don't get my country some times.

@LonestarBabs I just watched CNN's short video and I am wondering why they are blurring out his image throughout...

Yes, he is still under age til April, but they never covered up his image before...*scratches head*

It will be interesting to see if he will get any time in jail...if at all, just for a few months til he turns 18...shameful!

And then there is his mother...another pathetic individual...

@Susan Louise I think it has to do with Texas law. They never show the faces of juveniles. Here in NM, we see everyone's face regardless of age.

He just had his first court appearance. The judge placed him in the juvenile center pending the hearing to have him moved to adult court on Feb 19.
