Giving hearts on the forums

I love getting hearts, I especially like that I'm getting hearts from a couple of posters I didn't think liked me. I think giving out hearts has made the forums a more warm and fuzzy place, What do you think?

I think it has strengthened the community, bringing people closer together, getting to know each other a little better, etc.

I like the hearts because there are times you agree with someone, but don't necessarily want to make comment.

I don't know about "warm and fuzzy", but it seems like most contributors, including myself, like this feature.

I heart whomever. I don't really look at the names, a lot of the times. Even the ones imo are negative most of the time, they still have valid points (heart them). They may not care for me, (I can just tell)....I still heart them.

I love Goldens, too, My parents had a Golden named Toffee and he was like a brother to me. lol

I agree with you Deb1010, I like the hearts too. In all honestly most of the time I read the forums so fast and I don't always notice who I am giving hearts to.

Even if I disagree with a poster often though, if I like their post I will give it hearts. Why not? I feel like not giving a poster hearts when you like their post is spiteful and a little 2nd grade.

The hearts are a great addition

because it's easier to let posters

know their posts were read.

Not everyone wants to quote a post

to say they agree or appreciate it, the heart

does it for us!

It is nice when we can confirm to each other, when our opinions are in agreement.

Hi, @Deb1010yetagain! Don't worry about it. Just my silly opinion, but I don't think we can have too many positive threads like this one!

I liked the heart feature the very first day the new Community was launched, for all the reasons mentioned on this thread.

Giving hearts to posts -- and to people -- reminds me of this:

"Let blessings fall like blossoms all around you." ~Rumi

We give a heart, we say "I hear you," and we add a wee bit of a "blessing" of a sort each time.
