Where I live does not have good cell service and my battery constantly runs down trying to search for a signal here at home SO when I'm at home I simply keep the cell phone turned off. When you use Tracfone you buy both time and minuets but what I have noticed is - when I don't have the phone turned on at all they don't deduct a day for that .
