I just realized I haven't eaten a large bag of chips in years. Never a big fan. Once and awhile, though, I get a small bag of salt & vinegar chips with my sandwich if we order lunch at the office. I dump them out on the wrapper after I unwrap the sandwich, and there are never broken pieces in those small bags. Weird, huh? It might be that this particular brand is a thicker, sturdier chip, but who knows?

I sometimes put them in any leftover dip and use a spoon too. DH likes them in salads.

Lick the tip of my finger and pick them up one by one and eat them.

It works with Cheetos too.

Some good ideas ... I like the one about making a funnel and inhaling them ... also mixing them with the dip and eating them with a spoon ... thanks ... I'm glad I asked ...

Great question. Given the price these days for a bag of potato chips, er, potato crumbs, it's sort of a problem...

They need to either find a way to ship, handle and shelve them without turning them into potato crumbs or go back to selling them in cans...

Omgosh--some of those Kettle Cooked chips are so hard, I'm afraid I'll crack a tooth!

You know, I don't think these are kettle cooked. I know what you're talking about, but the chips I'm talking about come from Jimmy John's. If you google Jimmy John's Salt and Vinegar Chips, you'll see the bag if you look at images. It doesn't say that they're kettle chips, and even though they're thicker, they're not as thick and tough as the kettle ones.

I don't often have to deal with this often, but I just throw them away.

I do the same with cracker or cookie crumbs.

Those are my favorite...well the ones that are doubled up are and then the broken pieces. I like to put them on my sandwich. YUM!

Broken chip procedure:

1. Tilt my head way back.

2. Lift bag high in the air.

3. Slide crumbs down.

4. Chew quickly because chips will be sliding rapidly.

5. Try not to choke!
