When I worked nights (11-7) in the hospital, you could always depend on a busy night if there was a full moon. Patient needs increased dramatically.

My sister taught school and always said the children were more restless on full moon days (not sure if that was the day of or the day after).

Sure hope it is clear! This is the first full moon on Christmas since 1977 and there won't be another till 2034. Also a "Christmas Comet" in the sky around 9pm PT. What a night!

Does this mean we all get an automatic get out of jail free card in case we drink too much egg nog at our holiday gatherings or have had just about enough of a certain family member and finally throw down? I can just see the Christmas mug shot and law enforcement appreciation threads now.

The fog lifted early this morning and the moon was so bright, you could read a book by its light.

It should be spectacular tonight/tomorrow early morning.

The moon is so clear here that I noticed it when it was coming up last nite. It was huge!!! So beautiful of a sight, I couldn't take my eyes off of it. Then I heard later about it being rare. Wow. So happy that I took the time to notice. This is one of many unique things I've noticed this Christmas. I've been feeling a little down lately so I think these are signs from above to get me out of my pity party. I hope it's the same for you. Merry Christmas!

Just finished watching that BIG moon going down over the hills......a beautiful Christmas present from the heavens. Can't wait for tonight and the Christmas Comet!
