No Whining!

I'm just waiting for all the complaints of people whose packages did not arrive in time for Christmas. Last night I saw UPS trucks out at 10:00 at night - these people are working overtime to get everything to you and if you don't get your package, no whining! It's not their fault, you obviously didn't plan ahead and if thinking if you ordered something this week they could get your packages to you guaranteed, you're a fool! So just sit back and relax, life is too short to stress about the little things. Merry Christmas to all!

This is why I try to get anything I am ordering done by the first week of Dec. if not sooner. One must plan for bad weather, mix ups, low inventory etc.

Yesterday morning a USPS truck pulled up in front of our house at 5:30am to deliver some Amazon packages. ITA they are all working overtime to get things delivered.

I agree with the OP. You have to plan for slow shipping and issues such as non-receipt of an item or two. Anything ordered after about the Dec. 10-15 should be an optional gift because it might not make it. We all know some companies ship right away, and some do not, so plan for that as well.

While I understand that people wait til the last minute for various reasons and then complain when not delivered in time...retailers should not be guaranteeing anything..

BUT all these places..shopping channels, online retailers etc are the ones that are making people think they can pull it off with their expedited upgradedshipping..As I write this Q has a banner across the top that says "Receive Select Gifts before 12/25 for $3 Extra.." That said - yes that gives people the impression that it will be delivered in time whether they waited til the last minute or not.

I don't think anybody has said any of the delivery sources were falling down on the job.

I ordered something elsewhere the first week of Dec. It came yesterday, the box and the product box inside were smashed. And they are now sold out ....I'm SOL.

Yes, you definitely have to plan ahead as much as possible just in case you have to make adjustments if things go wrong.

Sometimes people have to wait until the last minute if there are economic issues involved or work schedules etc.

I got a UPS box early last night and I was so happy it wasn't at midnight lol

I already know not to expect anything on time.

LOL, the emjoi I ordered on the 19th is out for delivery. The drone I ordered the 30th of Nov. has not shipped. If it doesn't stop snowing our roads will be closed again this afternoon.

Should a billion dollar corporation guarantee delivery of my purchases, I would expect them to be true to their word, as in DON'T MAKE PROMISES YOU CANNOT KEEP.

There are so many variables to ordering this late.

They've been promoting Christmas since July. And Christmas is the same day every year. LOL

@magicmoodzAlso, I think corporations have all intention of getting your packages to you, things happen, weather, etc. Once those packages go out the door, it is no longer in their hands.

I can understand if people who could not mail early due to financial issues would see their packages delivered late. But I also don't want to hear complaints from people who could have shipped early but didn't. Local post offices were overwhelmed the past three or four mailing days.
