Should our President be attractive?

I am not singling out one party or the other. I am not singling out a particular candidate.

I am aware that there are more important skills/qualifications for leading our country.

Do you think the POTUS should be reasonably attractive?

i would never vote for anyone that was butt ugly.

i think being attractive helps and yes i would prefer an attractive president.

I think it is extremely beneficial for a candidate to be attractive, the more telegenic they are the better, it is a subconscious thing. People are drawn to the handsome and beautiful. Is it important for the president to be attractive physically? I don't think it matters.

I've had the same question myself, and then shamed myself for being so stupidly shallow. As long as a person is well groomed and well dressed, appearance doesn't matter. That said--there are a couple candidates I would not want to look at for the next 4 years. May the best man/woman win.

I don't want a president who is ugly in their heart and words.

I don't care too much what they look like, because if they are good person, that will come thru and you won't notice if they are unattractive. But if even if they are attractive, but they are ugly and mean, they become ugly and mean looking.

I would prefer my president to hold upstanding values and be honest rather than be attractive.

Sadly, that is a tall order in the political arena.

i read that Bush and Trump are the tallest, Fiorina is the shortest. Looking at the images of the candidates on the stage, Bush might be taller than Trump.

Why? Butt ugly may be the best person to do the job. Attractive does make it better to look at, but I don't have to look at a person doing the job they are there to do.
