Has anyone seen the video's she is doing on holiday decorating? It's pretty much the same thing she was doing on QVC. I don't understand why she quit if this is what she wanted to do. Am I missing something?

I've watched Lisa's videos and am amazed by both her talent for decorating and the volume of decorations in her house. Wow! Did you hear her say that she'd be selling decorations in the future? I can't remember her exact words, but she said it as an aside on one of the videos.

I think she left QVC because she wanted to be a vendor instead of a host. Perhaps the GILI line showed her it's something she could do. Her schedule might be more under her own control as a vendor, especially since if she's on a shopping channel she can have someone else who presents the products too.

I wonder if she has plans to do anything but retire? Maybe we all think she wants to do something else but she just wanted to enjoy her good fortune and travel and relax.

Isn't tomorrow her one year anniversay from leaving? Maybe they'll be an announcement from her--tomorrow!

I'll tell ya, the little bit I've seen of the facebook pages of her's shared here, she sure has a life full of lots of travel and visiting family.

She has many friends and is always trying something new and doing the things she wants to do.

She is enjoying life!

I haven't seen this, but did listen to a podcast about bloggers...some of the ones who have a lot of followers, make a very nice income from doing this.

I don't decorate now that mom is gone but I have enjoyed seeing what she is doing.

I can't wait to see where she winds up.

It's only been a year, perhaps she has something big in the works. Something amazing. She's 50 or close to it, I doubt she'd leave Q v c without a plan. On the other hand, perhaps Q v c let her go. She was making a mega salary and Queen Bee at Q v c. Maybe Q did the math and decided that she wasn't worth that boatload of cash and the inhouse problems that always come with prima donnas. They are doing great without her and the other hosts are working more now and earning their salaries. She certainly didn't quit her job to fiddle and diddle on social media sites like she does now. She's just doing that to fill up her time and remain visible and connected to her fans. But time will tell........

I have a college friend who is an executive with Liberty Media who owns QVC. She told me Lisa R resigned. Lisa felt after 24 years+ she wanted new challenges. Lisa also had a non compete clause in her contract. I think the reason she does those video's is to keep her following intact. I do not check Lisa's page regularly, but i did notice she has a huge following on her personal page of about 116,000 followers. Not bad for not being on QVC anymore. I did not watch the decorating video's, but I did watch the Dr. Denese chat after the fact. As I have been a Dr. Denese girl for the whole time she has been at QVC, I found the presentation interesting.

Lisa R was a very popular host. As an example the other evening on PM Style Shawn celebrated getting 100,000 followers. Lisa when she was a host had over 300,000+followers on her QVC Facebook page. This is why she could market, advertise GILI so well. Jill Martin as an example only has only 37,000 followers.

Could be that what you're missing is she's no longer working full time, kicking off TSV's most nights, working virtually every weekend, working on developing several lines of products, hosting a 3 hour PM Style every week, or dealing with whatever internal politics might have been ongoing at QVC. Doing a few decorating videos on her own steam is a far cry from what she was doing at QVC...

I kind of doubt the Q would've put as many eggs in her basket as they did if they were planning to show her the door... I'd guess her exit took them by surprise and I don't think they were particularly happy with her choice. As for how great they're doing, well, it's open to debate. Their numbers aren't exactly glowing and heaven only knows their programming and product mix has never been more stale. Of course, that would probably be the case whether Lisa was here or not.

I completely agree with @culebra. I feel certain she is just waiting for her non compete clause period to pass, staying busy on social media to keep her name out there for when she unveils what ever project she will be starting next.

I was thinking her one year anniversary of leaving the Q was coming up too. Everyone for so long has speculated what she will do when the year is up. Well...the time has come. I wish her the best in whatever she decides to do.

I have read that Amazon may be starting their own shopping network and I think Lisa would be a perfect choice as she is polished and does a great and thorough presentation no matter what they throw at her.

I remember in the old days when she would be selling everything from sheets to electronics and even did those Gold Violin shows and sold everything equal well.

I wish her luck in whatever her next adventure is. Her QVC hours at the end had to be tough on her personal life.
