Wrapping Paper

If you have a big gift the wrapping paper on the roll is fine. But what about the smaller gifts ? What happened to the flat paper? Does anyone know where I might find some? I live in the Chicago area. Thanks.

I just cut what I need from the big roll. I haven't seen flat paper in ages.

Target has traditionally sold some mini rolls of paper that are great for small gifts.

Haven't checked to see if they have them this year.

Target has holiday paper on rolls, no folds.

I don't wrap anymore, it's too time consuming. I've bought three sets of very nice holiday bags from QVC. They come with pretty ribbon built in for each bag.

I purchased a selection of flat sheets of holiday wrap at Costco, but it was a larger quantity package.

Just thought of another source. Costco sells large rolls of pretty paper. Also decorated boxes to use for gifts, and holiday bags. Tissue paper for gifting, too.

Hovis: I have no problem buying gifts for anyone BUT I absolutely loathe wrapping them, mainly because they never seem to look as nice as I am expecting. So, many years ago I was thrilled to discover those small Christmas paper bags (not the little ones for gifts with a card and cord handles, but just normal small paper bags made of Christmas paper.) They have been a lifesaver for me. I buy them in Walgreens and they cost about 25 cents each. Just put the gift in the bag with some colored tissue paper, and it is all done in two seconds. I am on the West Coast so I don't know if they are available in the Chicago area, but it might be worth looking. Merry Christmas.

Me too (klutz). I use bags and decorated boxes. The last several years I have bought from Big Lots, Cost Plus, Ross. Cute and easy, good quality, and half the price of the Hallmark store.

If I were you, I would just unroll a large roll, tape it flat to the table, and fold into sections and cut, or just cut to sizes on the table. BTW, I used to buy a large roll of light brown moving paper sheets at Home Depot (or elsewhere years ago), and actually poster paint Christmas designs on the paper. That's when I had more ambition. I have the time now, but not the ambition. I suppose I could buy the stamps and stamp the paint on, but, still...........too much work and not enough ambition....lol

I haven't purchased wrapping in years but I also think that Hallmark still has 'flat wrap'. If you don't have a Hallmark section in a given store, you could check the Hallmark stores in the malls - or, of course, online.

You can just cut what you need from the roll. Quick, easy way is to fold where you need it, and "slice" it with a letter opener or butter knife. (Maybe I'm just scissors challenged.)

Paper Source has beautiful sheets of paper. I think Barnes & Noble does too.

I find that when I wrap medium or large presents, there is leftover paper. I set those smaller pieces aside for small presents.

Duh, cut a small piece off the big roll and wrap several small gifts.
