Claim a Mobile Referral Code

You need to use a mobile device and have the latest Amazon app installed on the device to claim the referral code. Supported devices include: Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad, Kindle Fire and Fire phones.

To download the app, enter LINK
in your PC or mobile browser to download or upgrade the app
Once you have the latest app, tap the referral link from your mobile device directly (for example, open your email on your mobile devices, or tap the link from your Facebook or Twitter app on your mobile devices)
The link should take you to the Amazon app and follow the directions to complete the steps for claim the code

But it's only for first time app purchasers. If you've used the app before to purchase something, then the only way to get a discount is to send the offer to a friend and when they use their app for the first time you'll get a 5 dollar off coupon too.

That's what popped up when I opened my app.
