SO SO Upset!!

Did anyone purchase the Vintage Reserve Wine from last week? I KNOW I heard the one gentlemen say 'guaranteed to be delivered by Thanksgiving'. Am I wrong? Anyway, I have not received my wine yet, even though it says shipped 11-18-15. I just called customer service and they tell me it actually was not shipped yet. The 'shipped' statement only means the item was taken off the shelf...so to speak. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH SHIPPING AT THE Q!!!! When my account says SHIPPED I take it to mean it is on its way....NOT taken out of inventory TO BE shipped. There is no shipping scan as of yet.

I have just had it. I am so mad right now. My daughter is coming home for Thanksgiving because we won't see her for the X-Mas holidays. This was going to be for her. I purchased the D & B purse for her to take on her travels and I have that.

What is wrong with the Q's shipping? This is getting worse. This won't ruin my Thanksgiving but it sure has put a dent in my mood. Now what do I do with a case of wine...I don't drink!!

Refuse the order!

This is probably being shipped from the vendor. Check with CS but.... I don't think there are QVC return labels for that type of shipment.

Oh, don't be upset. I know you are disappointed, however: You've got the most important things, the daughter coming of course, and the lovely gift for her. Run out and purchase some bottles of wine. Relax and enjoy the special visit with your dear daughter.

Maybe when the wine comes, you could give it as gifts, or you might wish to talk with CS about a full refund including shipping both ways. Politely explain your crushing disappointment.

I hope I'm not adding to your ire, but I think they mark it as shipped so they can charge your card right away. I don't blame you for being upset.

If it hasn't been shipped yet can you cancel it? I wouldn't refuse the shipment because I'd be afraid if it doesn't get back to them somehow, you are on the hook. Maybe go back and look at the video presentation for what you bought and see if he says anything about the guaranteed delivery. But I don't know what they can do you for unless they can overnight it. There really is no guarantee at all.

I know it's upsetting to you but your daughter will love being with you regardless. You seem so caring and loving to have her with you for Thanksgiving and of course you want everything perfect. Just go out and buy some wine and on Thanksgiving toast to her love and happiness of a family together you are so blessed. Happy Thanksgiving to you My Dear.....

I've ordered food items that I received within 24 hours of the product actually leaving the vendor's facility.

I always assumed that shipped meant that the shipping label had been created, at least when I see it the first day or so.

I've been ill and consequently have tried to catch up on Christmas presents online.

I have at least nine orders on QVC that I placed going back to the 17th that seemingly haven't moved at all.

I am not a happy customer over this.

They make sure your card goes through before they hand it to shipping. Then, you wait until they get your order to ship it. That will depend on the shipping method and other factors. It's not a guarantee.

Sorry if you are irritated but let other nice things help you to enjoy your holiday.

Of course I don't know what kinds of wines you like. I used to be an avid wine fan but, with three autoimmune illnesses, I now take my spirits in small doses. I would most definitely raise the roof with C/S and demand a refund! If you were promised a date, they need to abide by it or make up for it. You can also dispute the charge. Our family as a whole stopped buying food from QVC after a few bad experiences. There are so many other options.

Now for wine for Tursday...we always buy a case of "Beaujolais Nevoue" at Thanksgiving time and it lasts us thru the holiday season.. It is a light, fresh, red that goes perfect with Turkey. Forget the old rules of red with beef and pork, & white with fish and poultry. It's about the body of the wine. Turkey, especially Thanksgiving is a heavy meal. This light red will be light and delicious. Any leftover is great for cooking. I was once told by a sommelier "Never cook with wine you wouldn't drink!"

Good luck with your c/s issues, we need to advocate for ourselves!

Why ever do retailers do this kind of thing which causes such bad will for them and short-term money earns next to nothing?

I think Costco just did it to me. I almost never order more than one item at a time, but I did over the weekend. I've been charged for both, but as far as I can tell, only one item has shipped. As long as they ship the second item soon, it won't cost me extra (credit card, never debit) but the item I really wanted first is the one that looks as if it hasn't shipped yet.

I'm annoyed though - not upset because I have plenty of time. Still, once I'm charged, the item ought to be moving!

@klajfakj I don't find the EDD to be reliable. I have checked status and it stated that something was not shipped, and it arrived that day, so don't give up yet. You may receive the wine by tomorrow.

On the video for M49644, David does say delivery is guaranteed for Thanksgiving.

I thought shipped meant it was on the way.

Based on this, if that is what OP ordered, I would call CS back if she doesn't have the wine by tomorrow and see what QVC will do.

It is true as others have said, the shipping information isn't always reliable.

I understand your frustrations with QVC's shipping....and if the presentation said it would be at your door by Thanksgiving, then it should be, no excuse! I agree with other posters that you still have today and tomorrow but it doesn't seem likely if the CS rep said it hadn't even shipped....unless they somehow notice their error and express mail it to you.

I've had experiences where whenever I order something on a time crunch, I get burned! If it's a gift for someone, its especially disappointing! I probably shouldn't wait until the last minute but if they specifically say something will get there by a certain time, then I expect that it should. Otherwise, they shouldn't make blatant promises!

QVC's shipping is very inconsistent, at least from my experiences. I keep hearing how Amazon's shipping is so quick from relatives that shop there consistently...why haven't I gotten into Amazon shopping? In my opinion, instead of QVC pushing the 3 easy pay policy anytime you use your Qcard, they should instead be concentrating on shipping prices and .shipping speed...I care more about that than stupid easy pays...those can be dangerous and be hazardous to your shopping...they really add up in the long run!
