I think I know a way to stop arguements on this forum from now on.

Whenever a thread on this forum gets heated or arguing starts, all people have to do is yell:

EVERYONE, LOOK!!! PUPPIES AND KITTENS!!!!

Then post a picture of a puppy and/or kitten. Almost everyone on this forum has a pet of some kind. This should help calm people down.

I think someone got banned for posting pictures in threads as a diversion.

Honestly, I find pictures like that annoying. If a thread is contentious, the mods will take care of it.

Hi, @brii! I know @NC Bandwagon's intent is good and all in fun, but I was thinking the same thing you posted. There was quite a bit of discontent when unrelated images were posted in the midst of discussions... it seems to me the moderators considered it off-topic, disrespectful, or attempts to derail a conversation.

Now that I'm thinking of it, trying to derail an argument might be a good thing? Of course it can be subjective, trying to determine if it's a heated, unproductive argument or just a spirited debate... I'll have to think about that.

But I suspect that there are posters who enjoy coming here to start arguments. If other posters did not respond to the contentious thread, it would 'wither and die'.

Agreed. If I want to look at images of animals I can go elsewhere.........

I'm not losing sleep over it, Bri's point was the poster who used to do this frequently is no longer here, probably for that very reason.

I find it highly annoying to make my way through a thread and find random pictures of animals that have absolutely nothing to do with the thread at all.

That person was warned and continued doing it and was banned.

So that's what happened to that cute popcorn munching deer. He did seem to pop up quite a lot.....no surprise. I thought he was kinda funny and let you know you were in for a bumpy ride if you continued reading. I read on! I always can use a good LOL!

I don't do Y&R anymore. Show is dumbing down America. Yeah, I still have it on when I'm eating lunch, but, I just found it so stupid and unbelievable. Stuff like that would never happen in a million yrs. and I thank God for that !

I agree with you. I read the spoilers, dvr the show, and usually just delete it without watching it. I like B&B much moreso than Y&R, there's a few good SLs going on right now.
