Downton Abbey

The season finale aired last night in the UK. (there is still the Christmas special) The good news is there are glowing reviews that it is one of the best episodes ever.

I cannot wait until the new season airs here.

I cannot wait to see how Julian Fellow's wraps up this successful series. It is time, but still bittersweet.

Great news .... and it's my understanding that Julian Fellowes is working on a new series ... The Gilded Age .... back in the 1920's when money was plentiful and the economy was booming, before the crash.

My stepdaughter lives in Cornwall. She will send me CDs before January, she always does. We have chromecast now so I will be able to play them on the computer and chromecast them to the TV.

I am so sorry I can't remember who let us know that awhile back PBS was offering seasons one through five (I think it's 5, six is coming up, right?) for a reduced price plus a bonus of their Christmas music.

I ordered then and recently got my copies in the mail, I am so glad we were informed!

If anyone else is interested, you might want to look at PBS online to see if the offer holds.

Oh great....you have a magnificent garden AND you've already seen the final season of DA! (I was spoiled weekly by a UK friend so I have a good idea what is going to happen)

If you go to the Downton Abbey Series 6 facebook page they have links to this season's episodes..I've watched all 8 already and am waiting for the Christmas show which will air on Christmas...DW

Dancingwoman, I have watched season six per connection on Facebook DA USA. I bookmarked the link and can go directly to my bookmark and connect to the episodes. I believe the Christmas finale won't be telecast until later this month. It is very enjoyable as DA never disappoints. I hope to purchase season six online version from Amazon. For anyone else that is interested it is easy to find on Facebook. Hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do.

Thanks for the info nagrom...on the DA facebook page it says the Christmas finale will be Christmas Day...maybe the info on there is wrong...I hope you are right so we get to see it sooner... ..DW

Here's what it said on the Facebook page...

The Christmas special/series 6 finale will air on Christmas Day !

There are spoilers on the facebook page so if anyone doesn't want to know don't go there....DW

With all the reviews, I thought I missed the new season and the finale.........does anyone know the date when will it be aired in the U.S. ??? I was broken hearted because I thought I had missed it!!!! The reviews must have been from viewing in the U.K.? I had no idea.....

I believe I mentioned it here ... I also got Seasons 1 through 5 and am awaiting Season 6 (not sure when it will get here, though.)
