As an aside, Colleen Lopez had this same brand on Saturday for her holiday host pick. It was $150.00 with free s/h and was I believe 17" long which is longer than this but still very small.

I think it's still at the special holiday pricing. It is originally $180.00 and gets good reviews.

FYI in case someone wants something slightly bigger.

HSN has a TS today of a darling apartment-size electric fireplace made of wood. Several people here have been looking for a small one. It's about $100.

Thank you for giving the alert about the fire place on HSN. I think I would like one in kitchen sine it is so large and every one always seems to gather in here no matter how nice and cozy the living room, dining room or family room are they all seem to get back in to my kitchen and flop into a chair and not move to another room.

I guess that I am replying to my own post after seeing the presentation of the fire place I think it way to small I thought when they were showing it that it was larger,

It's so tiny!

One review says she prefers this over the ones with the temperature on the front because real fireplaces don't have the temperature. Real fireplaces are also larger than a boot box and anyone is going to notice that before a temperature readout.

It is darling and I like the flame effect. This must be much lighter than some of the larger ones, so that's nice for portability.

It is very cute, but tiny. I think it would be best for someone in a very small apartment(elderly) or maybe a small bedroom that needs extra heat, but for a Family Room or Kitchen-way too small.......

This item is primarily an infrared/convection heater. The look with LED faux fireplace is secondary, at least in my opinion. How well it heats? It is 1200 watts and that along with infrared heat, it does really heat.

We have a 1500 watt infrared heater and it easily heats our 17'x17' master bedroom and I haven't turned our whole home gas heater on in years now. This in some very cold Nebraska winters. I did not buy it for cosmetic reasons, bought it to heat rooms. This was money very well spent for our use.

hckynut(john)
