The weather man just said a bad word....

and the bad word is...SNOW! lol.

Snow mixing in with rain this wk end as the temps drop at night in northern PA.

I am a bit below there but it is going to go down below freezing 2 nights this wk end here.

The good news is, temps rebound next week. :-)

No snow yet but they're talking frost/freeze warnings maybe tonight, over the weekend. We take out a bunch of small to large house plants. Yesterday I brought in to our dining room most of them, all that I can manage alone. The rest are very large ones that my husband and I will tackle probably tomorrow to bring in. By the time springtime and April/May rolls around they're screaming to get back outside (and so am I!!).

Through the holidays my husband will string lights throughout the large ones, they look really nice. We now do this instead of putting up a tree. January he'll take them out.

Must be time to shake my amaryllis out of dormancy. Almost time to take in the patio furniture. I see that here in the Piedmont of VA freezing temps are expected over the weekend, but not snow. The leaves sure are falling!

May we all get through the winter safe, warm, and dry.

We're getting the cold temps this weekend too. Brought in the outdoor furniture, hose, plants the other day. I think there may be a couple warm days out there yet, but I do things when I have the time.

Most of us are praying for snow since we didn't have enough last year. And they are saying it's not looking good again this year.

Ha! I knew that was the word before I even clicked on the thread.

I wish they would use that 'bad word' around here. I'd be a happy little chicken.

At least, beginning today (and i hope it lasts!), we're starting to have a bit of a cool down but still highs in the 70s. It used to be winter here by the time October hit. Maybe not snow until Nov, but at least it w/b cold.

Since I'm right on the lake, the warm lake water is keeping us warmer. But cities inland have a freeze warning in effect tonight and tomorrow night. Someone I know works in downtown Cleveland and said it wa sleeting earlier.

Come Monday, we are supposed to be back up into the 60's. But the weekend is supposed to be very cold.

Last Sunday we were out on our boat!
