This site is so WACKY!!!!

I had to change my nickname AGAIN for the third time to sign in... Originally June2 .....then had to change it again to June22.... NOW today I had to change my nickname again.... JUNE222.... What is up with that? Why can't they fix this site once and for all??? No excuses.

I'm not sure why that has happened to you so many times. I read a post somewhere that a poster just waited some time and was able to log back in using her same nic. I also read that someone who was able to change it back to the original one as well.

Maybe the mods or IT team can help you out to see what is going on?

It is no big deal just adding another 2 to my nick... just seems like a glitch in their programing. I guess eventually I will just keep adding 2's...

I had trouble yesterday that way. finally went out and came back in. The screen to sign in, just kept saying, YOU NEED TO USE A NEW SIGN IN/PASSWORD and that wasn't true, so it's a glitch.

You might try the "Email Us" link at the bottom of the page. I think it helps to copy and paste the problem message you are seeing.

This is worked well for me when I had trouble a while back.

I'm sorry you are both having issues logging in to the community and would like to help. Could you please tell me what is happening when you sign in? Also, what device and what browser are you using?

I have no problems signing in. I use a regular desktop computer with Windows 7 and IE 7.

Perhaps these problems are limited to the tech devices?

Whenever you have a site complaint, you should include information about the device, Operating System (OS), and browser you used to log in. That way they can try and replicate it. If you don't include that information, you've given them nothing because they have to guess how to replicate it and usually won't be able to.

I can honestly report that this has never happened to me on the new site, only happened to me once on the old site, and that I log in once a day on my laptop and don't have to do it again all day.

I use a Dell laptop with Windows 7 and the Chrome browser.

Do you mean mobile devices? Everything that accesses the internet is a technology device. I do think the site has many more issues with mobile devices than desktop/laptop computers.

i was prompted for new user/password creds a few weeks ago on a WIN VISTA desktop using IE.

i just quit out of the screen and tried again later.

i have my laptop back up and use Mozilla (FireFox) exclusively.

IE is very buggy for me.

Three times, I was asked for my password and it kept welcoming me back and asking for the password again. So I just gave up, left that page, and went to the forums site again (Blogs and Forums link) ... and drumroll..... I was signed in. So I was signed in(probably after the first time of entering the PW) but I couldn't get from that page to the forums.

I can never get in.I sign in millions of times to reply to something,nothing happens ,then give up.I think I just discovered if I sign in before I write my reply,it just may work. I don't know how I got to be a valued contributer, when I can hardly contribute....lol

..and BTW, I have to sign in to see my auto-delivery acct 3x before I can get in. It keeps saying it is not available at this time !

I don't have a problem signing in, but the last few days, when I click on a thread I've already read it takes me to the OP. It used to take me to the first new post in the thread. I've looked at everything under "Preferences" and "Settings" and I can't find that option anywhere. I don't know how it would have gotten changed. Can someone tell me where that setting is lol (Yes, I make sure I'm logged in.). TIA

Edited to say that I found the setting. It was still set the way I wanted, just not always working. Oh, well.

I've had trouble signing on numerous times. It just keeps bringing up the user name/password screen over and over, so I go in through the back door and sign in on the CS screen. Then I'm fine. I'm on a tablet.

In some circles this is called an "Upgrade/Improvement". During my many years here I've seen a whole lot of them and this latest one is far and away the worst.

Anyone notice how many fewer people post on this Bulletin Board and/or this particular forum since the latest change? I know 4 personally that no longer post here because they do not want to spend their time trying to figure out a new "software/hardware" program.

I pretty much stick with the things I know how to do here now and will leave it at that. I too could not get my original "nic" the way I had it for close to 14 years before this change. So far I haven't had to change it again, but if I do?

Guess if I want to keep posting here I will have to comply. Sorry you are having these issues, but I am not surprised.

my only problem right now is i cannot see any videos on the product pages. i am using a laptop and have checked out firefox and IE.
