Concern About Syria

Russian war planes are active there and are shooting down American drones. *

Moscow said its warships fired a barrage of missiles at Syrian insurgents from the Caspian Sea, a sign of its new military reach.

Other sources are saying Russia "intercepted" American drones. Not sure what that means, but it may not have meant shooting them down.

We have always known WW III would start in the Middle East and it will be nuclear. We are on the way, and this time I fear our homeland will not be spared. I fear for our children, our grandchildren, and their progeny.

My Google news page is full of articles on what's going on. I turned on CNN and they are blathering on about New Hampshire voting patterns.

Do you have a source for this? Everything I'm finding says that Russian planes are "intercepting" or "getting close to" US drones, but I can't find any source that says the Russians have shot any drones.

In general: Lots of people (top, middle, sideways, whatever) just don't seem interested in 'History repeats itself'. In general, and not referring to this topic. It's one thing we learned in elementary/middle school: That we must study world history, so that we don't make the same mistakes over and over again. I recall that the teacher said that most of us wouldn't be history teachers, but it's wise to know what happened in the past. What worked and what didn't work. Good teacher, good school (public).
