She was looking for an entry level job in marine biology which was what her degree is in and flew down to San Diego for a final interview. She was one of 5 left out of a field of 25.</P> <P>I met her and her mother for lunch couple weeks ago when she came up for lunch. I told her how I gotten every job I had interviewed for. I followed up with a thank you note. I thanked the person who took the time to interview me for considering me for the job. I thanked them for giving me the chance to explain why I wanted to work for the company and why I would be a good fit for the company.</P> <P>The daughter told me that she didn't think anyone did that anymore. Later her mom told her that she thought it was a good thoughtful idea and couldn't hurt.</P> <P>She got the job and the person who interviewed her said that it was between her and another person and she thought she would have to toss a coin. But she got her card and thought it to be so thoughtful and considerate she decided to hire her.
