I'm not liking it A few yrs ago they started early and by the time Christmas came I was all Christmas'd out and so over it,my holidays were awful.

Who cares? A lot of people like it. I like it. I like to see what is going to be popular for the season. Some people shop early and if you don't like it the solution is simple.... turn the channel!

Don't forget that they had Christmas in July programming all that month, too. I haven't watched even a minute of it.

I also did not watch a second of CIJ that goes on & on for months. I get that people find it easier on the budget to shop early---I do as well: but QVC keeps showing the same things that have been around for yrs. over & over. Very annoying.

I made up my mind to not buy any Christmas gifts from QVC. I refuse to do business w/a company that I find annoying.

I don't buy Christmas at any time, but I assume someone must because there are more and more early Christmas shows --and even one of my supermarkets is now into Christmas in..... sales.

But there are lots of shows with merchandise I don't want to buy and I don't think there's a difference. Someone wantrs them or they'd be gone, wouldn't they?

It really does not bother me. I just do not watch, but obviously a lot of people do. The shows actually start every July, and as it gets closer to December, there will be even more.

Saturday was beauty day on the "Q'. I like those days, and I watched several of the shows, but lots of people don't. We all have likes and dislikes. I tune in when I want to and ignore when I choose not to watch the programming.

Words cannot describe how disgusting I find it to be. I havent had QVC on more than 3 minutes since Thursday. I've become a non-viewer.

I love it!

CIJ is the best though, because after that, most of the Christmas programming is just a rehash of the same stuff, with a few new items thrown in now and then.

I detest the fashion/beauty/jewelry/handbags/shoes end of QVC (which is the bulk of their yearly programming) but I certainly don't deny those who enjoy it, their time to watch and relish in the events. So I guess I don't understand the backlash about the holiday shows or any other that each individual may choose as their favorite.

People who claim it ruins their holiday, over does the materialistic part of Christmas, takes away from their summer fun, or any of the other host of whining that goes on this time each year about said programming, need to just change the channel, go to the beach, or clean the house. The same things I do when I don't like what Q is broadcasting. It is as simple as support what you like with your dollars, and don't buy what offends/bores/aggravates you.

The sales will dictate the programming. Period.

@brii Many of the hosts enjoy decorating too...like Jill...she has her own show and has shown many holiday decor items. And that's just one host...lots of others...like Dan who LOVES to decorate with lights. He was thrilled to show the new lights this past Thursday as a TSV.

I LOVE to decorate and I feel like I'm going through withdrawls without any decor shows for awhile.

We all have our favorite types of shows to watch, isn't that great?

I'm betting that they do as well. When I worked in retail, you were exposed to so much Christmas for so many months, it was taking some of the joy out of the holiday season, because it seems endless, starting so early, and a big part of your every day work life. So I'm sure that , especially those hosts that have been with Q for decades, get tired of it as well.

But it is part of the job, and I'm sure the paycheck received helps them 'cope' with it!

I agree with you that I can just change the channel. However, there are so many other things I used to enjoy shopping for on QVC!

I HATE the endless Christmas shows - but I guess people shop all year long for "stuff". I rarely watch QVC anymore - and maybe buy a couple of products a year. Most of the products are BORING and EXPENSIVE!!!
