I don't think that the divorce rate in Hollywood is any greater than it has been. I do believe that because of social media and fan focus it is easier and quicker now to alert the public to these situations. Although divorce is higher all over now more than in previous decades, the celebrities

seem about the same. Think of all who stay together, as opposed to the younger famous ones who do separate easily. It's a massive group.The biggest problem is they are always swapping mates in the same circle of people. Rarely does a celebrity settle down with a non-famous person outside of their talent and life.

Or yet perhaps, it is because everything in Hollywood is phony, fake and made up. Even relationships. Sadly.

I don't think so-called celebrities divorce any more than your next door neighbors. It's just that the Browns' and the Smiths' private lives are not plastered all over TMZ and People magazine.

Adam and his wife are already having problems? Geez, he just got married like a minute ago!

Although I have to say, it's not just hollyweird that's in divorce mode. I just found out that two couples with whom I'm close are getting divorced. Both have been married for 30 plus years.

I don't know whether this is true, but on my facebook page, I saw where Reba McIntire (sp?) and Narville Blackstock are separating after 26 years.

Seems lately in the last few weeks,we've been reading about alot of break ups of celebrity marriages.

I think it's the Hollywood in the Hollywood. I haven't noticed any recent hike in celebrity divorces. People who live their lives with paparazzi following them everywhere have different pressures on them and I imagine that takes its toll on people.

Nothing new. Importantly, it's how others view marriage. It's kind of a temporary situation or at least until you get bored. Not a lifetime contract. Everyone is different.

There is a hike in divorces everywhere, not just with celebs. I think people throw in the towel too fast. They dont talk and work things out. They just dont have respect for each other or their relationship!

And yep, I am married for the 2nd time. But I was married the 1st time for 19 years until he cheated and took off. I might add my 2nd husbands 1st wife cheated too and took off.

But I come from a family where my parents were married until my mom died young. And my grandparents, and all my aunts and uncles stayed married forever.

So yeah people throw in the towel nowdays and or are self centered and have no respect for their spouse OR themselves and cheat. Its either one of the two it seems to me.

My husband and I have learned a lot from our first marriages and have a wonderful marriage. Communication is the key, and respecting each other and the relashionship. And its very important to spend time together and have date days and keep the romance alive. Each has to give 100%, or its doomed. And dont fight over stupid things that dont matter and never bring up things that bother you from years ago! They have nothing to do with today! Thats my advice, take it or leave it.
